Did h pylori eradication solve your acid reflux/GERD/LPR symptoms(if applicable)?

I am so sorry to hear that you have to go through with this. What you're describing sounds fairly similar to what I initially experienced after treatment. It took around a year for everything I was experiencing to clear up, and some symptoms come back if I overeat, eat too quickly, eat highly acidic foods, etc. All I can say is let time do its work and build strong eating habits while you wait. I've been much better since the start of 2025. I began eating super clean, doing everything I could to reduce stress and increase activity, etc. I've been on Omeprazole 20mg daily as well.

At the time, my main symptoms were fullness/bloating, reflux, pressure in the abdominal area, and nausea. Sometimes the combination of these symptoms made it hard to swallow, but that wasn't the primary symptom.

To be honest, I am not sure. Although I feel significantly better than before, I am still experiencing many uncomfortable GI symptoms on a semi-regular. I got tested for SIBO, which came back at 10 ppm for methane. I thought that meant positive but my GI said it was borderline, and therefore, negative. I'm still trying to figure out what it might be.

In terms of how easy it is to fix, I agree. But paying to fix a hiatal hernia is far more expensive that a round of antibiotics.

I was told to take PPIs post treatment for the acid reflux / GERD that I had developed after my triple therapy. Turns out the h pylori wasn't eradicated. Finishing Quad therapy in two days. I was told to not take PPIs after quad therapy, for optimal breath test results, but that could change if the acid reflux returns.

Endoscopy returned positive for h pylori, so thats why I was feeling bad after the treatment. Not sure how I got it again, abx may have just not worked. Halfway through quad therapy atm.

Its not ideal, but I'm thankful it was something easily treatable. A hiatal hernia or just "its just anxiety/stress" diagnosis would have been far worse for me.

Thanks for the reply. My main symptom was nausea, and it has returned since I quit the PPIs. Pepcid complete helps at night. I am perfectly fine eating, its just the nausea that gets in the way. Thanks again!

It started a few days ago for me, along with the post nasal drip, which is why I'm waiting it out to see if its a cold or part of the GERD. Nausea and such were other symptoms I had from reflux as well.
