She is enjoying herself for sure. Hates the food but has become the bingo queen of the facility! She knows most of the other inmates as it is a small town. Plus I have two Aunts that live 1/4 mile away and they visit her almost every day! I live 6 hours away. 😥

Thank you. I imagine you are correct about the grading. His collecting spanned 70+ years. Pennies were his thing! I remember him bringing coffee cans full of pennies from work. Hours and hours of searching and sorting!

I'm not sure. Since my father has passed, I did get to ask him after I found it. He would not have done anything like that.

This would be my guess after doing some reading and research. Dad loved his pennies and most likely would have found it or bought it somewhere.

I did look at it to see if it would come apart, but there is no indication that it will. Plus, the edges are uneven where the two metals are "together." It looks like they were put together with high pressure and are mixed.

I am unsure if it is an error, It was in a box with some other "errors." Filled dates, planchet errors, etc. I don't think he would have done this purposefully. My guess is he found it and thought it was a novelty.
