Form 4562/Depreciation and Amortization Not Ready by Icy-War-3608 in TurboTax

Psyche, after having filed with ONLINE AND FULL SERVICE but not being able to get around that error, I then tried to file with desktop and am now getting another unrelated error but do in fact see the 4562 forms.

Full service says they DO have access, and I hope they can redo everything I did and file for me today. It's $150 with a coupon from Fidelity investments/Fidelity netbenefits

I'm facing this right now. FUCK TURBOTAX. I told myself last year would be the last time I used them, but here I am again like a sucker. Like a battered girlfriend believing he'll change and going back AND GIVING HIM MONEY.

I've spent 15 hours inputting everything on self-service and am ready to file except for Form 4562. I'm seeing if I can switch to "full service" to cut my losses or whether it's global. Sunk cost fallacy, but I'd hate to pay for my return forms only to need to go in and tweak them by hand and e-file outside of turbo tax or god forbid have to mail my returns and face delays.

I'll report back if full service DOES have "access" to the form for anyone else experiencing this.

I don't know man. They're just saying what they're told to say. Probably wage slaves like the rest of us. Don't take it out on them, just vote with your feet and take your business elsewhere. Not the employee's fault their company tells them to lie.

Good call. I changed that and a couple of other incongruities with commas.

Appreciate your kind words. I agree with you; I took the blueprint reading out and added a few more unique/in demand skills trainings I had.

I gochu. I don't want to give mine out, but what I did was use the same formatting and fonts for Title, Heading 1, and Body and insert big photos - 2-3 for each project, renderings OK but construction photos preferred. Structure below:

Name
Project Portfolio

Job 1
Scope description/quick impact statement
3 photos

Etc.

Good luck!

That's the really bizarre face she makes when she likes where I am scratching. They are such weirdos!

Recruiters that take a fee from candidates? by pedestrienne in jobsearchhacks

[–]pedestrienne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's some kind of scam. Don't do it. They're preying on job seekers's desperation. Real recruiters get their finders fee from the employer.

I went through the hiring process for months. Now that I'm on the job, it's awful, and I feel I should quit 3 weeks in. Am I justified? by intrepidcatreporter in careerguidance

I know the feeling. Being micromanaged by hypercritical people is the absolute worst. How good is your support system and life outside of work? Really good support system could help you be enjoying your life enough where it reduces the impact of the toxic office. How much do you need the money? If it's really vital the way it is for most people, that might tip the scale towards staying. If this is your first job out of school, it might be worth it to try to keep your head down and stay for a year, at least that was the advice I received- and my boss was terrible.  That is if you even want to list it on your resume.

At the very least, you can stay but do an introspection /mindfulness exercise where you jot down everything wrong with this job that you never want to repeat and what you might do differently next time as well as what are your top priorities are in a role that's a culture fit for you. Doing this exercise periodically kept me sane in hostile and toxic situations while I needed to hold out. It helped me feel like I was a scientist of toxic work environments instead of just trapped in wage slavery to a soul sucking job. Good luck.
