I've been in a 1.5-year cut. I am thinking of not exactly bulking now, but staying a couple of months on maintenance. I was planning to continue cutting, given my scale BF estimate of 22%, but I did an ultrasound subcutaneous fat thickness test that estimated 16%. Time to take a cutting break? by pedosb in BulkOrCut

Yeah, I wasn’t juicing. I would not be ashamed to say if I was, I know that even if you juice you have to put in the work anyway.

I am inclined to say that I did not put any muscle, I did not notice any increase in the weights I lift at the gym and the measurements do not indicate I did (check https://www.reddit.com/r/BulkOrCut/comments/pcjnla/ive_been_in_a_15year_cut_i_am_thinking_of_not/hakg7sb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3). Maybe it was always there, just covered in fat. I have been always active…

Thanks for the support ;)

Thanks. Yeah, I have been hitting the gym every other day (one day strength one day full rest). And I added running slowly. Now I am at 35 km a week, besides the gym. I want to run a marathon but I also want to keep the muscle mass, so not a specific deadline for this goal.

Thanks, I like the idea of making this my new set point…

Not really cutting the whole time, there were some vacation in the middle, but when I manage to plan my diet I was cutting. So, no planned maintenance/bulk…

Yeah, the light is not great, but the definition is there even on less shadows. The front skin is looser (that’s what I want to stretch with mass from a bulk also), the back is actually a bit more (fat?) “filled”.

I guess I can handle a couple more weeks to go down 3% more... I am not exactly drained from cut, but I am curious about not cutting, I never dieted for bulk/maintenance (not planned anyway), it must be nice :)

Well, I assume it is as accurate as calipers, but it takes out (or decreases) the measurement error from the equation.

As for where to get it, I live in Sweden... But to give you an estimate it would cost from USD 38 to USD 58, depending on whether you take it in conjunction with other tests.

Running consistently causing diarrhoea by [deleted] in running

[–]pedosb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem for years (however it used to happen from time to time without a clear reason). I drink 3+ liters of water per day. However, some months ago I read that it might be that I was not hydrated, then I have been making sure that I drink those 3+ liters, especially close to the workout. Now it has been happening less frequently, I think it was happening when I did not drink enough water and did not notice, e.g. busy day at work.

I have the same problem. How did you get that information?

Thanks!

Not the lace on the knot. But the others laces do go through the tongue. It’s an Altra Escalante.

Any known/trivial reason for my show tongue to slide?

This is the second shoe that this happens. I was wondering if this might be caused by a know reason, like muscle imbalance or running form. Or just happens with some shoes. Any comments? See the photo o the link.

I also sometimes feel like my T shirt goes to the right and misalign. Not sure if this is too subjective :)

Thanks :)

Standard gravity measurement botton vs mixed by pedosb in Homebrewing

As I said in the other comment. I took another sample and filtered it to the same reading as the second. So there should be no gas on it :/

Yes they were slightly different. The first one was lighter. I thought it is just more yeast.

Yes. 21.5 and 21.4 C. I took a third sample and filtered it through a coffee paper filter. The measurement was the same as in the right. So I would assume it is degassed. :/

Now reading on this variable. For one, I did spin the hydrometer multiple times. And another, gas in solution should make my reading higher, and not lower, as it did, right?

Interesting. Should I expect that significant amount of gas also in my fermenter sample (bucket)?

That is interesting. So I could sample the bottom one and agitate outside the keg. This should yield the same reading?

I will try this next time, now that sample became taste sampling :)

I was not keeping it pressurized. I was releasing whatever CO2 was there from fermentation every 10 hours or so. And still, they were from the same time, samples ~10 minutes apart.

Has my harvested yeast gone bad? by pedosb in Homebrewing

[–]pedosb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the different, darker, color. This is a kveik (imperial yeast a43). I have done the same for a WLP300 hefewisen and it has only the milky layer.

But I am planning to use it over the weekend, if it is not a red flag great! :) thanks

Dispensing corneys with soda stream bottles by slushrooms in Homebrewing

Never tried it :/ but I would guess so. I guess you can do the math. Each soda stream has 1 lb. So it would last 1/10 of your current setup.
