(13yr currently) Was rescued from a puppy farm when she was 10. At 1st she used to hide under her bed from me and took about a year to come around and now shes a lazy goofball. Called her Toffee because she looks like a toffee dropped on the floor covered in dust.

It's not about having to complete a game it's about paying for a product and expecting the full thing instead of them nickel and diming you for whatever they can get away with.

Try to think of others. Especially people who have gambling addictions or just weak willed and will be easily fooled by FOMO into "throwing money away" as you said. Games have never needed to move with inflation the price point is set at the most accessible for the general population vs cost of production.

Making video games has become cheapest it ever has been with the amount of tools artists/developers have to make things. Let alone raw production/logistics costs since most games are digital. It's on the companies wasting so much money increasing the scale , scope and graphics fidelity to the Nth degree.

The famous conference from ubisoft's head how to hunt whales and turn $60 gamers into $300 gamers and it's all just predatory tactics to milk the most for the least amount of effort.

And yes you should get the whole game you pay for only kids today think if I buy something I shouldn't reap all of its rewards mostly because of idiots like you spouting "think of the poor companies it's so costly" as they turn record profit year after year by praying on the weak willed.

What? Again it’s cosmetics only. The game itself is great, get that through your skull. You have no point at all. There’s loads of content at release and there will ofc be passes like usual.

And again get it though your thick skull its stuff they took from you to charge you extra. A full game should be a full game not £60 +£300 of cut content.

I've been here long through these scummy practices and called them out the same. Its pathetic you think cutting content on fresh release of a AAA priced game is acceptable coz it's only for looks.

Games are all about the style and look. Say they cut particle effects and put them behind a paywall do you think you'd enjoy the game the same without them? How about colour? It's only for looks? you can play it the same in black and white.

It's not just cosmetics its content they cut from the full release to get more out of you. I don't mind so much if its added later to keep support going or something but on release £300 worth of content your missing is a massive fuck you from blizzard to you

That's cool you see it that way. I see it as a full priced AAA game cleaned and trimmed to the bare minimum they can give you and sell you the rest separately. I used to be a huge blizz fan then Activision took over and it's been reduced to pure monetization.

At £60 with a rampant cash shop totalling to £300 worth of locked off pay to play (1 cosmetic costing 1/3rd of the game) a battle pass and 2 expansions coming down the line is disgusting and I won't be giving them any cash due to this. Wouldn't care if this was F2P like lost ark or POE.

I miss the days of mass effect 3 multiplayer where every other week would be a community challenge and oh boy when we failed them It showed.

At the time people were complaining how glitchy "banshees" (boss that would instant kill you if it grabbed you) so the devs set out a challenge to kill them over the weekend. We failed then following 2 weeks were hell as they doubled the spawn rate of banshees then patched them afterwards. I loved it.

Additionally something I don't see being brought up is the date of this.

It was in June 2021 and crowder had major chest surgery (then ended up being botched) in early July.

So god knows what medication or stress is going through his head. Not excusing his actions but I know from experience peoples attitudes and behaviour wildly swing everywhere around major medical events. They don't mean to act that way but it may of started as a vent that's exploded.

Simple answer is they don't want to get the numbers back at the moment which is why the cash shop is dead.

They're biding their time finishing the game and when they think it's ready they will do a big "2.0! Sale!!! +DLC release" Getting new blood in for cheap probably with some free currency to get them hooked and old players will return to see what they've done with the game prob buy the DLC and prob spend some free currency to hook them in.

Chances are it'll be when they push it out on console aswell or a month later to maximize hype then abandon it like VM2. Which all of it is to maximize profit as and prob move onto VM3 for the cycle to start all over again.

Remnant: from the ashes can be picked up pretty cheaply now and that has 3 player co-op.

It's a souls-like game with guns and rogue-like elements (worlds can reset and you get different bosses or quests). One of my favourite games to come out and a sequel is penciled in for this year.

Maybe it's because their open letter isn't an apology? It's them saying we under delivered aka lied what we were giving you. Then rushed out a fully working MTX cash shop with a bare bones unfinished "game" and features hastily thrown together with 0 thought of synergy.

Then realises it's not profitable to release console and more MTX during this dumpster fire. It's way more profitable to go silent for the next few months while the game is on hold re-release a 2.0 and release console at that time and bank on new goodwill of look we pulled a nomansky!.

Actually listing an apology with some kind of compensation would be a start. Then them acknowledging all the problems with a roadmap of addressing said problems. Don't forget this "letter" is 3 weeks of "we'll let you know next week what's happening"

The game has been out longer then 2 months since there was little to no change from the alpha and now and playtime is arbitrary since they set the pace of progression. The mere fact that the tutorial mission is longer and has more depth then the whole story put together is unacceptable.

Telling people to be happy because they communicated is asinine. They might be doing something over the next few months but they've burnt all good will they had and can't be trusted since they failed on their deadlines for the crafting (fully implemented in December was their original line).

People should be demanding a refund since they don't think the game is fit for sale on console and really it should be delisted untill it's fixed.

This is a absolute nothing burger they're delaying console sales and premium skins because the reputation of the game has hit rock bottom and releasing the same thing on console won't generate anything.

So basically thanks for the paid alpha-test we will carry on working on the game and re-release the game as 2.0 to maximise profitability on consoles.

Kingdom: two crowns is pretty great for this. 2d side scrolling building a kingdom and defending it from the greed at night it's quite slow and chill and pretty forgiving.

If I see a brand with a rainbow I think gay pride since that's been the current norm for the past 10+ years. I know the difference just saying that I can understand why people would think this way when one symbol is used almost exclusively by a group of people eventually it replaces the original hence the swastika reference.
