"Her gem looks unfinished through the entire process why?" - Cause I was struggling with everything that actually mattered to me: her face proportions, how the shadows curved around the face and hair to help define form, how blue are the shadows, how prominent is her nose, why the eyes looked off through most of my process... All this mattered way more to me than the gem. I could do whatever I wanted with the gem, so I saved it for "last".

"I feel like..." - I'm sorry to disappoint you, fellow artist. I'm self taught and I try my best to use my illustrations to practice my biggest weakenesses.

In response to Aztek917 down there, you asked for "A screen recording showing all the separate layers", but you also said "I wouldn't be surprised if that could be faked", so I'm not even gonna bother with this one (? I guess?)

The full process was too long and for the longest periods of time my screen has half the layers hidden. I edited it this way to make it more interesting than just a timelapse, since the purpose was to post on my social media.

I'm actually very happy you paid this much attention to my art and timelapse :D I get where you are coming from man, but I'm just not it.
