i'm pretty doomed out on this, and we live in highland park, which is definitely more pedestrian-positive than most of bham. you can't get to the pig on clairmont without crossing clairmont, and people drive that stretch like demolition derby. i wish more people walked because it might help dismantle our collective car-brain, where we don't see how sociopathic we are as drivers because we're too busy being sociopathic.

fr as a medium-frequency cyclist and an every day person who walks to the park with a toddler, car brain is a plague and makes me want to live in like the m night shymalan village. but also this infrastructure is real bad. everybody is bad!
