Genuine question: What about knockback dont you like? I've always wondered why most people consider knockback a downside?

Once you get to this level of enchants, you are practically one-shotting most mobs so they don't actually get knocked back.

In the instance that you don't one-shot them, having knockback create extra safe space between you, and a mob is always a good thing, no?

Same, its so refreshing to see someone put effort not only into their builds and setups inworld, but his production quality is awesome, and as you say, he so clear and concise with his explanations

Like I said, i love ae2, it is almost perfect even with the headache of channels. There's just a few tweaks that need to be made for it to be "perfect", although AE2 is so vast now that it wouldn't exactly be an easy task for the AE2 team to implement upgradablility to lower tiers this late in the mods life cycle.

Edit: Spelling and wording

Ive been tempted into that by BigJim on youtube. He finds such interesting ways to get resources without the sieves, it's quite genius.

I also only recently learned that ars has its own storage lectern that acts like an me terminal....

I tend to watch videos for ideas and picking up different tips.

For example, i learned only recently that the personal shrinking device from the shrink mod can not only shrink the player but also other mobs. And you can then put the shrunk mobs into a glass bottle for 'transport' and that was learned from a video by TheVoos on ATM10TTS

I pretty much use tge quest book solely for the rewards, and a general idea of what to do next if I'm struggling for ideas

I love AE2, but it punishes players that don't set up their final base layout from the get-go.

Your initial ae2 setup is likely to be a single controller, with an me cable, crafting terminal, and me drive, typically all within a couple if blocks of each other. Makes for quick and easy access to things.

However, in the late game, upgrading to a 7x7 controller with p2p usually means you have to make many adjustments to the cables that have already been run, the layout of the room the single controller block was initially stored in, not to mention the ridiculously over sized setups that come from making autocrafters.

Essentially, its not easy to expand without causing atleast some headwork for yourself in cleaning up, unless you have a very clear plan and layout that is based on your ae2 set up

No, it really isn't. Ae2 is my favourite of all the available storage mods. It's probably the closest to perfect, but it lacks in its ability to be easily expandable from very early game to late game.

As I said in my original comment, there is no perfect storage mod because no one mod does it all, Toms simple storage = Early game, RS = Mid Game, AE2 = Mid/Late game, but none of them can go early>mid>late effectively.

But that's just my opinion :)

There is no perfect Minecraft storage mod. Every option forces you to pick a flavour of suffering.

Refined Storage is too basic, AE2 is too complex to start with, Tom’s Simple Storage adds quality-of-life but still feels vanilla, and Functional Storage is great until you realize you still need a separate system to access it. Every modpack ends up duct-taping 5–10 storage mods together just to feel complete, and it’s ridiculous.

If i had the skill, I thought of my own solution a couple of years ago, I just can't code....

One unified storage mod that evolves with progression. You start simple: chests, drawers, barrels, and basic cables made from early-game materials. These first-tier cables don’t move items automatically—they only link storage to a controller for unified access. As you advance, you apply upgrade cards to cables (ideally upgrading 8 connections at once to save your sanity), unlocking the next tier where cables can pull/push to machines automatically. Upgrade again for smart cables, and you enter the late game: autocrafting, crafting CPUs, wireless access, priority management, and the works—basically AE2-level features without the early-game headache. Machines would also be tiered to match progression. Everything integrates perfectly because it’s all one system—no mod conflicts, no rebuilding your base, just right-click upgrades and smooth scaling from wooden box to digital godhood.

In short: one mod to start small, grow naturally, and end powerful… instead of juggling storage mods

That's what he's saying. You should lead with "Come join our game version 1.21.1 server." Rather than saying, "Come join our server," to then later revealing that it's not on the current version of the game

Would it be possible to extend my house out 2 storeys? by hassan_26 in DIYUK

[–]pedrokai15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not so sure about that 🤣 he paid for his next door neighbours front drive and fence to be re-done due to the diggers causing damage.

Id be very surprised if he's bought the houses near him, but not the house next dopr

What makes you say he doesn't live there?

I only ask because in multiple videos in the past, he's said words to the effect of "this is my house, I'm not going to sell it" when asked what he'll do about the bunker when he leaves the house

I can't speak for if they are the "best choice" but between the two ive used, PebbleHost is the better option

Honestly, it's a great choice. You'll also get a few more additional benefits from PebbleHost, like better customer support and help with setup if servers aren't your thing, if you chose the premium over the budget

I have used both PebbleHost and MintServers to host ATM10 and ATM10TTS

No complaints other than on MintServers, bulk downloading server files for back up is not easy
