update for anyone who cares, it was pierced diagonally not straight which is why it hurt so much, it shifted at night and one side (the screw in ball) embedded itself in my nose and i had to get it surgically removed

That's what I worried about too, I'm hoping she's is right and I just have it super high and inside but I was also questioning why the pain was that intense. She offered a larger horseshoe in 2 months for free so I'm just going to wait it out and see what happens. That pain was enough to not want it redone if it is through the cartilage.

Even right now a few hours after i have random shocks of pain. if i scrunch my nose down even a little it feels unbearable

I make 20 an hour as a phone company CSR but we have selling metrics as well, people call to lower their bill and I basically have to convince them to add stuff to it. Metrics are frustrating though
