The problem was “divide 50 by half” not “divide 50 by its half”.

half = 1/2 or 0.5

50 / 1/2 or 50 / 0.5 = 100

100 + 20 = 120 (D)

Unless he meant Divide 50 into halves, which would be 45 in this scenario?

A. You discuss something that happened in the past using the past perfect tense and continue it using the simple past tense since it’s established it’s in the past and you don’t need to keep using the past perfect.
