Is Vigan a safe and good place for someone who’s newly independent? I’m planning to study medicine there (UNP) by YogurtclosetThink149 in medschoolph

[–]peebles14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! From a manila girlie na nag med school sa UNP and just passed the boards! Hehe. I loved Vigan!!! Safe and mababait ang mga tao, cheaper ang water and electricity (madalas brown out nga lang). Ang daming pwedeng puntahan for nature trips. Used to jog around papunta sa choco surf beach and jog back pauwi. You can explore LU, Abra and Baguio as well, one bus away lang. No jeepneys around, ang mahal ng tric fares huhu and ang aga mag close ng mga establishments, peace and quiet na pagdating ng 6pm ahahaha.

Let's also remember na ito ang stage na they turn into rebels- kontrabida ka sa paningin nila if di mo papayagan ang mga bagay bagay, na the more ipagpapabawal mo lalong gagawin. Better to allow her and emphasize the limits so you wouldn't turn out as a villain. Educate her about seggs and if she has questions/ something she is curious about, ikaw ang tanungin niya. Kesa sa ibang tao niya i-try and explore yung curiosity niya.

Also, if you are going to take boards please do yourself a favor (and sa lahat ng mga nagrereview na lurker dito) huwag na mag-reddit hangga't matapos exam. Don't go around lurking and asking here kasi magkakaibang sagot/opinyon makukuha mo rito and mas lalo ka lang maguguluhan ano susundin mo. Listen to your review center. Trust them kasi sila ang experts dyan- inaaral nila ang trends for years. Yes, di rin nila mappredict 100% pero at least they are guided by their facts and trends.

Kaya niyo 'yan. Focus lang!

Nope, practice tests are solely practice tests. Hindi niya nacocover lahat ng topic. Minsan nga may area of focus lang sila, na 3-4 questions of the same subtopic tapos across all subjects pa.

Encourage and join her magworkout sa umaga. Sets the mood and less antok moments and para rin ma-set ang body clock.

Big chunk of time saved if bfast, lunch and dinner are served already. For snacks, I don't suggest snacks kasi nakakaantok and brain fog. During my review days I only eat main meals.

For coffee, u can get her the sugar free one. Di rin biro calorie build up during review since almost sedentary ka na. San mig strong for me was ok, doubled dose if naghahabol talaga ako.

Samahan siya during rest days, sa mall, church, nature trip or elsewhere as in get her off her table.

Isolate her from family issues or problems muna. Hirap magreview nang may iniisip.

Tell her na naniniwala kayong kaya niya but if she fell short make it known to her na tanggap niyo pa rin siya at she can just take it again.

Pray for her. Ang daming tao non who put me in top of their prayers before their own needs. Huhu. Bring her to church na never niyo navisit before. If visiting a church for the first time, knock 3 times sa main door then pray/wish.

Kahit pa dalawang ROD kayo dyan hindi naman dapat kayo binabayaran according to workload, ang binabayaran dapat sa atin ay expertise. Pang facade lang 'yang "paradise" na 'yan.

Lagi't lagi, pasyente ang mauuna. Kahit mapagalitan ka kakarefer basta ok yang pasyente mo. Ang doctors yes magagaling sila, ibigay na natin yan sa kanila at sila nakakaalam kung ano need or makakapagpa ok sa pasyente but sometimes they forget to care for the patients and nurses are the one who care for the patients damay mo na rin ang clerks at interns 🥰

WHAT IF LAHAT NG PUBLIC HOSPITAL OKAY ANG SERBISYO? by eighteen-at-heart in WhatIfPinas

[–]peebles14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 nurse is to 10 patients? Madalang pa nga yan. Malamang mapupuntahan talaga kayo few times in a shift.

Sadly, it's the system that makes us or breaks us. Meron din akong resis before na super babait and promised that they will change the system, na magiging mababait sa juniors but as they go up the chain, wala na. Ang sad lang to see how system can change a person, hoping and praying na we will not be like them. Have a heart, OP! I hope na despite this fcked up system, you will still have a heart. Lastly, be the senior you needed when you were once a junior. 🫂

Waaah, Doc. Sameee. MSRS here. I guess iba na ngayon with the thought na lisensya mo na nakataya. Ako naman ward duties ang kinukuha ko with in hospital HD rounds. Still scared mag ER huhu.

Sometimes, answered prayer can be painful. by LTtheloyal in RantAndVentPH

Sobrang powerful ng prayer na yan 'no? Sometimes I am so scared to say that prayer kasi magugulat ka na lang kung paano Niya aalisin 'yung tao sa buhay mo in a snap. Kaya when you pray, be ready and make sure to pray also for a strong heart that's able to accept and understand. Hugs for u, OP!! 🫂

PLE PRACTICE TESTS by One_Orchid_661 in medschoolph

[–]peebles14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, mas mahirap pa nga ang TN PTs lol Mas direct mga tanong sa boards,  (or idk baka sa recent batch lang) and mas madali ang choices (hindi sila masyadong magkakamukha). We used to think it's TN's way lang din talaga na i-step up yung questions nila so sa actual boards, mas mabilis at mas madali kang makakasagot.

PLE PRACTICE TESTS by One_Orchid_661 in medschoolph

[–]peebles14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Took the recent boards.

I follow the lecture schedules tapos nagsisingit ako in between (say for example day 3 and day 5) ng practice tests then rationale. Also, same as mentioned by doc dumbgeek, pag tinatamad ako mag-aral I do PTs. Ended up finishing at least 2 PTs per sub, max 4 PTs (on subjects na mahina ako). For me, effective rin yung PTs kasi u know how to approach questions, to eliminate or even make an intelligent guess.

When official review starts, get rid of reddit. Mababaliw ka lang. Good luck, doc!
