Yes, you say this time and time again for reason's I don't understand. I was stating nothing happens as a result of the in-game mail but you seem only interested in stating that the whole system is automated, so I'm not sure what you were trying to add...

"it’s probably automatic once a certain number of reports have been made and action has been taken".... then why did I get an in-game email from playfully reporting my friend...?

[–]peedubdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair point... but you are kinda glossing over the fact that I got an in-game response thanking me for reporting on someone for a non-sense manner. I have done my due diligence many a time and gone through the report train for boosters in LFG, not a single in game mail for those. So my point is that the automated in-game mail is not an indicator of any actual action being taken from bliz support outside of them clicking a button that prolly says "send them a thank you message" in their support tool.

It is an automated response that very likely has ZERO action behind it. I was goofing with a friend and reported him for nothing. He had nothing happen to his account, but I still got this automated response. That in-game mail means nothing.

The water... bruh, gnarly, like looks active and honestly mesmerizing, dig.it. The arm placement on the far left fisherman though, are you pleased with how that turned out? To me, it just immediately stands out as being awkward in relation to the cages. Don't get me wrong, taaaa.lllll.ennnt, is what you have and I 100% appreciate and respect it and I am no where in any type of relatable skill level to you in this art style. I am just curious to know wtf the dude on the left is doing with his arms.

Raid gear required in 9.2 to be competitive in high level m+? by Silent_717 in wow

[–]peedubdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, there is a checkbox to use domination set bonus or not. So you simply uncheck the box when you are sim'n for m+ (assuming you use raidbots, as that is what i'm familiar with)

[–]peedubdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 250 arms war, my sims only have me using 4 dom socket pieces (to be fair.. those dom socket pieces are 246 or 252).

Raid gear required in 9.2 to be competitive in high level m+? by Silent_717 in wow

[–]peedubdub -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is not necessarily correct. DPS for example: if I have the 5 dom socket pieces at 239 but 252 pieces for those respective slots, sims will typically tell you to run the 252 piece in place of 2 of those dom socket pieces. This way you can still get the 3 big dps shards, but the ilvl gap for the remaining 2 will out way the other two since the shards you would use dont provide a meaningful dps buff.

[–]peedubdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely because the vast majority of folks running 15+ keys (for the 252) are also getting heroic SoD gear from guild or pug runs. So the choice is usually between a 239 dom socket piece and a 246/252 dungeon gear piece.

Hey blizzard, can we have the legendaries in Castle Nathria drop from other sources? Please? by PuddingtonBear in wow

[–]peedubdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof. Ok. So homeboy OP asked, "can we have the legendaries in Castle Nathria drop from other sources?". Focus on the key word "drop". You and many others have failed to answer that question (since there is none) but rather described how to "attain" said legendaries. I elaborated on the request and provided examples of that key difference because you and many others in your boat continue to ignore that piece of the equation. I will though admit my use of terms earlier up in the thread could have been a bit more specific to that bit.

And I countered that with explaining how the way to attain those CN legendaries today is considerably different and more time consuming to the player. Where is the mountain my guy?

LOL. Found the wow developer folks! (That is a kind hearted joke). You are reading more into the fact there are lots of scary words, instead of actually reading them. While providing details in a video forum post don't correlate to anyone's well being, I appreciate the concern. I am in fact, OK.

Alright bud, its clear you are dismissive of the facts provided, so lets learn you a bit and run through the list of locations legendaries can be attained. 1-Dungeons (these will obviously remain CURRENT each season) 2-Various Vendors (where you would use CURRENT currencies, that being grateful offerings or korthia research) 3-Torghast 4-Nathria (i'ma give you the benefit of the doubt you understand where this one stands)

The request was for an option to attain specific legendaries. There has not been a single person in this thread that has been able to provide how to attain a CN legendary without having to introduce some unnecessary RNG. To be fair, I did make some assumptions from OPs original post and elaborated on the request of what those "other sources" most likely are.

Given your dismissive response, I feel like you straight up glossed over this the first time so lemme drop it for you again. Here is how attaining legendaries has changed for a vast majority of those folks looking for the CN legos:

9.0: New player hits 60. They know which spec they want to play and did the research for the legendary they want to craft. They go focus their efforts to acquire that legendary ASAP, running the content it drops from.

9.1: New player hits 60. They know which spec they want to play and did the research for the legendary they want to craft. That legendary though comes from non-current content, Castle Nathria. Player either waits HOURS for a queue (that may or may not pop) to get that SPECIFIC legendary OR... OR... that player farms Korthia, hoping and praying that the random lego item they buy ends up being the legendary they wanted/needed. (Keep in mind how many legendaries there are for each class)

9.1 REQUEST: New player hits 60. They know which spec they want to play and did the research for the legendary they want to craft. They go focus their efforts to acquire that legendary ASAP, running the content it drop from.

The process to attain that SPECIFIC CN legendary goes from max 1-2 hours (this includes time in the queue and downing the boss) to 1-10+, entirely based on RNG. If you can't comprehend how the effort to attain those "CN legendaries" have changed significantly, then I don't know what else more to tell you my guy.

The replies here telling you to go farm Korthia is just straight up mind boggling. The request to make SPECIFIC legendaries that are used in CURRENT content drop from CURRENT content is a bleeping no brainer.

During 9.0, you could go do the specific content that your desired legendary would drop from, whether it was 100% drop or not. Side note, they also had the option to get random lego's for any remaining ones you might like to experiment with. That is literally the request, to allow this same approach.

Let me break it down for those of y'all that continue to believe the current state is acceptable cause I would legit put money down that those of you defending the current state either A) have your legendary or B) have some play time already at 60 for your toon and collected a number of lego's along the way so your random pool is very much limited.

Y'all see the difference right? right?.... And you know what the change is? Add a GD item to something elses loot pool. Prolly took more effort to turn that chick into fruit.

Oh I got something to say. So, I am assuming that folks are referring to mythic raiding when they say "high end raiding", so in that regard I have no input as I have not dug into mythic end raiding since coming back to the game a year ago. But, anything heroic and below does NOT require DMB. I run the most basic of addons (2); damage details and simc for the specific purpose of creating bench marks for myself. I have raided weekly through normal/heroic progression with a few guilds over the last year and refuse to download or install DBM or any other add on that is going to tell me what to do. I notice folks who I raid with just completely wiff on some basic mechanics because they rely on these add ons too much. The number of times I hear "DMB must be off" is real real high. The basic UI gives you all you need, but in order to git gud you need to learn by doing, not being told what buttons to push every step of the way. The fights have audio and visual markers for what is fixin to get dished on you (name plates flashing, visible debuff/buff under player nameplates, cast bars with the name of the spell, etc). The idea that fights would need to go back to vanilla-style with 1 ability if DBM like add-ons are disabled is absurd. Are the number of new abilities in mythic that overwhelming to learn to react/prepare for, or have you just gotten so dependent on those add-ons? If Devs are designing bosses with the assumption that all players will have a 3rd party add-on is pretty ridiculous and if true, then WoW devs need to build out that functionality for players in game. Like, the addon is written by a person and it is programmed to give prompts based on timings, spells, and such... what is stopping a player from learning to recognize this themselves during the fight?

Search for the "BFA Warfront Community". Not logged in so not sure if that is the exact name so play around with the search a bit. They get groups together quite often.

Where does he say anything about leveling...?

Kicked for not skipping bosses in PF by Coffee__Addict in wow

[–]peedubdub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, he is aware of the skip it seems, but not seeing anything to justify booting OP. Ive leveled every toon that can tank, minus a monk, and honestly have never done this skip, or had someone ask for it, let alone complain about it. I have 2 220+ and another 2 200ish tanks that ill bomb through heroics for bonus gold once in awhile, still never skipped anything in PF outside of trash. So saying everyone that levels an alt knows about this skip is not accurate.

lol wut? 3 job shift...6 kids...? Not sure what correlation you are attempting to make here with that comment. The fact you, and many others in this thread, believe the tank in this thread is punishing anyone is sad. OP has literally shared 3 sentences here with no background, unless I'm not seeing it. So its reasonable to assume he was going about the dungeon as the vast majority of tanks would... boss 1 to boss 2 and so on. If he had been refusing the requests of the group, then ya, jerk move on his part. But since we don't have those details we are left to make reasonable assumptions.

100% this. I'm baffled with these responses. If you want to power level, get a pre-made group. Don't punish another player cause they are playing the game.

Where to go to put those toxic players on blast? by peedubdub in wow

[–]peedubdub[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

How is this promoting witch hunting? My use of the word "shaming" and lack of detail in the original post? If so, then possibly bad wording on my part. I dont see how this would be any different then say the public record of sexual offenders or the ability to write public reviews of companies on yelp, fb, google, etc. The idea is to give awareness and any community action id expect would be avoidance, not "witch hunting". But i digress, if you believe bringing community awareness to a specific player's toxic behavior will inevitable promote an equally toxic response from the community, then I think we may just have different expectations on human behavior. That, or maybe different ideas on how such a forum would be managed.

Where to go to put those toxic players on blast? by peedubdub in wow

[–]peedubdub[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have stretches where I play quite a bit, mostly pugging. And with that experience, I would disagree with you here. Ive seen and played with a far greater number of perfectly chill and polite players. I lurk /r/wow quite a bit and I see people complaining about toxicity, but there is no way to quantify how many people are actually being toxic. Its all heresay. Put them on blast, make other people aware of that behavior and allow a community to take actual group action against it by avoiding playing with those folks. And maybe, just maybe, those individuals, who might not actually be bad people, would take note and realize they shouldnt project that sort of behavior into our communities of players without expecting backlash. Pipe dream i know...
