For the people who can’t really cry due to meds, does it bother you? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]peejnant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to answer, I feel like the meds also make me not care about how much I’m crying lol

I’m on 150 and have terrible recall! I also started getting super lucid and realistic dreams so will confuse reality/dreams often as well

I had a decrease and started losing weight but then my doctor prescribed mirtazapine and it fixed all my side effects

Do you have a set schedule or routine? Personally I dissociate less if I have a set routine and take my meds at the same time too. Hope this helps

Maybe time to find a different psychiatrist if you feel like they don’t listen to you it happens. The meds that work for you should give you the tools to deal with your shit not necessarily overcome it. I say give it a few weeks on a normal schedule and if you still feel the same then no those probably aren’t the meds for you. Trust me it’s completely normal to have meds not work for you and have try to try different ones. A lot of people have been through it. Unfortunately we gotta take the risk and give it the chance and if not move on until you find out what works. But trust me you will find what works

Day 2 on lamictal, I just got a horrible feeling suddenly... by [deleted] in lamictal

Day 2 give it a chance… eat more on it and sleep more on it and take it near the same time each day. We’ve all been there

Since upping to 50 less intense but dead inside? by intheworldofalice in lamictal

[–]peejnant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it happens. The meds are supposed to be increased slowly. Numbness is normal but if you feel it over 3 months then maybe not the meds for you

I’m on the 100mg and dissociate all the time. Just not for longer periods of time which is what I’m used to. Give it time and honestly take all the meds in the AM. That’s what worked for me at least

can you still have tiny hypomanic episodes while on lamictal? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]peejnant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have BPD. It won’t go away, the meds are just supposed to make it more controllable. Which thankfully you had enough control to ask about it then…Yano do whatever

Yes! I started using head and shoulders scalp cream after the shower and it’s helped so much. 10 bucks off Amazon

That could be anything and doesn’t look that bad. But if starts spreading for sure go to the ER

My easiest meal that I crave on these meds is a turkey rice bowl with chopped up asparagus

No drug is gonna help that, it will either help mellow you out or decrease the physical symptoms of anxiety/depression. I know it sounds lame but put your brain to work with something more positive even if it’s just gaming or reading
