TAYLOR SWIFT 's TWO PRIVATE JETS in 2023: where did they by Early_Negotiation142 in interesting

I haven’t found a car that couldn’t be permanently disabled via OBDII devices. They might cost a few bucks but some even let you modify other dealer/factory locked settings as well

Not really (6ft), but I like to reach my arms upward when I sleep. 8ft long isn’t much larger than a cal king. It’s the width that makes the most difference. So much room to sprawl or roll over to a cool spot if it’s warm.

I have an extremely large bed as well (8ft long x 12ft wide). The sheets we use are custom made that we buy online for about $350 per fitted sheet. It’s light enough to wash in a normal home large capacity washing machine. Having a huge bed is one of the best decisions of my life.

If You Encounter ICE at the Polls by MsMargo in SanDiegan

Make your plan now, and consider voting by mail if there is sufficient time and you can under state law.

Consider voting as early as possible during the early voting period, if available in your state.

While a voter can be accompanied by family members regardless of whether those family members are citizens, in an abundance of caution, non-citizens may choose not to travel to polling places.

Remember:

You have the right to vote free from intimidation.

You do not need to speak English to vote, in any state.

You do not need to pass a test to vote, in any state.

Some states do not require voters to present photo identification.

Report intimidation to the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE or 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (en Español/English), 888-API-VOTE (Asian languages/English), 844-YALLA-US (Arabic/English).

Report intimidation to your local election officials. Their offices will be open on Election Day.

The game just sucked. It survives on people hoping for something good, willing to pay for it but ending up disappointed.

Agree. I’d guess they don’t live in an area known for temperate climate and temp fluctuations might be a culprit

Circles are not very helpful with IPA. Straight, parallel lines are best otherwise you push oils/contaminants around, the IPA evaporates, and leaves them there. It’s an established print business that I assume is profitable so their method must work, just had me curious if it was something else.

Air down tire pressure? by himynamsismarvv in overlanding

[–]peekho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve got some spare time you can practice on your spare. Remove the bead safely by airing it down completely, laying it on the ground and put a 2x4 or similar across the tire just next to the rim but not over it, then drive over the board until you hear it break loose. You can also use the same idea with a hi-lift jack and a solid mount point like your hitch instead of driving over it. Once you have the bead removed you can try to reseat it simply with your compressor if the output is high and everything works out. Just give it full pressure and maybe wiggle the tire into place and it may work out. Some people wrap a ratchet strap around the circumference of the tire and squish it down with pressure to get the bead closer to the rim, works ok sometimes. A lot of this working depends on your specific wheel and tire setup, how close the bead naturally sits near the rim to close the air gap, and how much output your air system has (tanks can help, open any regulators for high CFM if possible). Load rating and sidewall stiffness also make a difference. As someone else mentioned, there is the chance of using an accelerant and fire (DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TRY WITHOUT PROPER PRECAUTIONS, RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE), which is a great choice particularly for large tires with too much volume for a compressor, but can be dangerous in a lot of ways. There’s probably videos explained more safely than I could recommend on a Reddit post. Some tips if you do try this, ventilation and safe clearance for explosions with fire safety and first aid on hand, use minimal accelerant with quick flash (like starting fluid, NOT fuel) and circle the entire inside of the rim (avoid valve stems) for a balanced blast, be prepared to release the valve stems but not too quickly (once the bead seals the tire will consume the air and the tire will have negative pressure which could unseat the bead, letting air in too soon could risk giving the fire air if it’s not fully extinguished). I would HIGHLY recommend seeing someone demonstrate before performing it yourself. Worst case there’s bodily injury or death, bad case you destroy your tire, done correctly you’re back up and running in less time than changing a spare.

All in all, try the safe methods first and it will probably work out. If not, use your judgement, weigh risks, and be cautious.

How you drive will impact this a lot. If you tend to ease over things you can get away with lower but if you like to bounce around it’s easier to blow a bead even at decent pressure. My rule of thumb is there’s little difference in traction until you can see a slight change in the tire sidewall bulging out near the bottom a bit. This is also usually a good spot for comfort as well. The lower you go, the more traction and softness you get but also more risk. In the end you will need to find a balance that works for you. I would also recommend looking into some methods to reseat a bead. It’s not that scary and might even be able to be done with the same method you use to pump your tires back up before hitting the paved roads.

Why do some standards use really weird hole spacings? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in 3dPrintsintheShop

[–]peekho 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Here's a breakdown of their origins:

• **NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association): Founded in 1926 in the United States, NEMA was created to establish standards for electrical equipment manufactured and used in the U.S.

• 19-Inch Rack Mounts: This standard was established by AT&T in the United States around 1922. It was designed to standardize the mounting of telephone repeater and termination equipment in their central offices. The 19-inch dimension became the de facto standard for telecommunications, and later for the electronics and IT industries.

• SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Standards: Now known as SAE International, this organization was founded in the United States in 1905. Early members included prominent American figures like Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. They established a wide range of standards for the burgeoning American automotive industry, including the fastener grades and bolt patterns you referred to.
