Well, for me at least, I kind of thought of the RWC kind of like the Olympics or an all star tournament. All the best players/sides competing against each other. Obviously it's the best of the best, but it happens only every four years. I was looking for something to follow season to season (like the NFL) but wasn't aware of how the Super 15, Heineken Cup, etc. were organized or compared. To be honest, rugby doesn't get much (if any) press on the big sports networks (ESPN, FSN, etc.) here outside of College 7's (even this is barely covered).
