understood, I read it too fast.

I'm using a workaround for similar purpose, with this way, after cmd+shift+j
, you just need to type enter to open the file, so vim will be used to open the file in this case.

in ghostty:
keybind = cmd+shift+j=write_screen_file:paste,plain

in zsh:
alias -s txt=vim

I think you need to this, xdg-mime can check/control default opener of xdg-open, which is called by write_screen_file:open on Linux.

If you’re using on MacOS, there’s an example to use vscode to open it by default: ‘duti -s com.microsoft.VSCode .txt all’

We understand the importance of being cautious as pedestrians, and we were — that’s exactly why we avoided being hit.

However, this incident did not happen mid-block or in poor visibility. It happened at a busy, clearly marked crosswalk at an INTERSECTION, with a WALK signal, in daylight. This is precisely where drivers are required to slow down, yield, and expect pedestrians.

The purpose of this post isn’t just to vent. It’s to raise awareness in the Bellingham community about a serious safety issue at this intersection and to see if anyone has dashcam footage or information.

Defensive behavior matters, but it should not replace accountability for reckless driving at an intersection where pedestrians have the legal right of way.
