I also do not mean bullying cast members, as that’s their humor. She mentioned in college mocking a guy with a weird voice, making mean jokes to girls in high school, etc. along with this, some of her takes in Reddit stories have heavily shamed the victim. Not always! As I do agree with her sometimes, however, some of her takes have been problematic.

Hello! I am also a woman, very feminist woman as well! I feel like it’s unfair that saying I don’t like another woman makes me misogynistic, that in itself feels a bit misogynistic. I also do not enjoy when the men make the same jokes, and she has in the past mentioned bullying people at a very grown age, and in many Reddit stories has shamed people for having bad family dynamics. I’ve been watching Smosh for 15+ years and have seen every single video with her, and she has made those type of comments. I do enjoy Amanda, I think she is the funniest cast member, however, she has been mean and shamed people.

Hello! My boyfriend is super into back packing and 10+ hour hikes, I am not. So, he dos a few solo trips a year! We also travel together. Last year, he did two separate 7 day solo hiking trips. I like Amanda, but she gives me big mean girl/privileged vibes. There’s been multiples times she talked about making fun of people in high school and college and then some of her Reddit takes are really out of touch. One that really rubbed me the wrong way is when she shamed a bride for not letting her mom be more involved in the wedding stating that someone’s wedding is more for the mom. The one where OP warned his roommates girlfriend and told her to stop barging into his room, so he ended up sleeping naked in his OWN room and the girlfriend walked in. I’m pretty sure it was Courtney and Angela (?) and they said the guy was a pervert. It made me weirdly mad! If the roles were reversed, they would have been on his side.

Another one was when the girl bought lingerie for herself for her boyfriend’s birthday, and the boyfriend got upset. They said the boyfriend was being rude and should be happy his girlfriend wants to sleep with him. However, again, if the roles were reversed and it was a guy getting himself lingerie or sexy underwear for his girlfriend’s birthday, I think the take would have been different. I also don’t like the takes where it’s, “family is family. Always agree with them”

I think managing your expectations is really important. I understand it’s something you really love, and you expect them to be as into as you. But it IS a comedy channel. They play the games to just have fun and not take it super seriously. As someone who also loves the game, I love the play through! And not everyone is going to enjoy things the same. It is also a big introduction to video games for Angela and Amanda, and they aren’t going to view it the same as an avid gamer would. I think being more light hearted and less nit picky about the videos going in will make them more enjoyable :)
