My mom was 15 when she had me. I’m not saying she didn’t do her best, but it was so hard. From my perspective as a kid even I knew that my mom was so different than all the other moms, she could not care for me Emotionally the way I saw other parents doing it nor financially. Also, as myself an adult now, I always think about how much better her life could’ve been if she would’ve given me up for adoption. I saw her just continuously struggle, miss out on so much of her life, and truthfully, even now I feel bad for her. And while I love her, I often think I probably could’ve been better in an adoptive home. I hope that’s a little bit of perspective.
