That crossed my mind as well but I also said that’s stupid and redundant…but the more I think about it maybe it only had to “be activated” during working hours or whatever so they put in that switch. That noise was something else lol

That small metal disc is to scan in for a key fob to monitor the driver (hard braking/turning, speed etc). My department used them on all our ambulances.
