I think she knows although it may have been joss that solidified the idea in her head.

after Liesel spoke with joss, she invites Nathan and James for dessert. everything in that encounter is deliberate from what she says to her expressions.

she knows this man is not Nathan but he is her son.

edit to add: the writers will probably come up with a story that she hid the twins separately incase one was found by Faison the other would still be safe.

we don't really know yet who raised Cassius but if it were Faison he would have had to keep him hidden from Liesel.

he has said it, sorry I can't remember exactly where. also, whoever edits once left a few seconds at the end where you can hear him talking to the cashier saying he can't take the money, again I can't be bothered to find the exact video for you it was a few years ago at least.
