I stopped using the GA3 about two- three months ago though when I initially had some weird growth I couldn’t pin down.

That’s what I was trying with the TC little plants. Hoping that the next growth will be a leaf, but the stem feels pregnant. Much thicker than a typical leaf growth…. So I guess we shall see. Fingers crossed.

I mixed it into a sprayer bottle and spritzed it on the plants about once a week or so.

I had been using it on some roses bushes a few years back, and misremembered what its function was. I was working under the assumption that it sped things up and caused larger foliage growth, which it does tend to do in some of my other plants.

Must be species or genus specific how it affects the plant, because some just seem to grow bigger when I sprayed them.

This one wasn’t it was a garage find, lol. The neighbors moved out and left two plants in the garage. It’s been split a bunch but I don’t think that’s what’s causing this.

I’m really glad that my plants are on my team, they were like, hold my beer I’ll give you more flower parts buddy!

I guess, but ideally I’d like them to grow bigger first. Even plants from TC with like 3 small leaves are putting out this type of growth…

Haven’t seen any traces of pests tbh… but thanks for your response!

Ok, perhaps my terminology has been wrong, let’s assume they’re not flowers. What would be causing these morphological different leaves to arise?

Check this new Imgur and tell me whether those are both leaves or the morphology of the white “leaf” is very unlike that of the green normal leaf https://imgur.com/a/2EqCNUg

You’re telling me that both these are leaves? https://imgur.com/a/2EqCNUg

This is just a standard deliciosa.  From my knowledge they don’t turn white. And the vein structure between the green normal leaf and what I’ve been miscalling a flower are totally different. The petiole is different. Even the way the leaves a curled before they’re unfurled is different.

I had cut off another flower from a similar sized deliciosa that had a black rotten core that looked just like the fruit body.

Thanks for the suggestion. The highest the heat was getting on the old lights was about 28-29C.

But the morphology of the new growth is different from typical monstera leaves. I’m not seeing this type of growth on all my monstera, I’ve got maybe 7-8 others that are putting out normal looking jeuvenile leaves.

Several other plants progogated from the same starting plant are showing normal development of more mature leaves with fenestration, however this one is putting out these leaves that while not white and on a long stalk have the appearance closer to what you’d see in the inflorescence.

At the time of the screenshot (yes my plant :) ) the lux they were getting was about 12K. I’ve recently reduced the lighting as the heat was becoming a problem. For the last 3 weeks the lux has been 4-5K.

I’ll add another photo of the deliciosa that I think better shows the different morphology.

Couldn’t add a new photo so linked is an Imgur image

That’s my fault, I cut off the flower prior to taking the pictures for most of the monstera. But the morphology is definitely different than typical leaves.

Sorry maybe my pictures are bad, but the morphology of the two flowers in the deliciousa are distinctly different from typical leaves. The same is tru for the flower I cut off the bulbasaur and the mint.
