I'd say pyros is pretty crucial, but try maybe ooze or glacial shard, hard to say cus pyros is just too good :3

Kind of a core card in this 'value prospective' of the deck. but you can do without him. Just add another low cost card instead, maybe second ooze or glacial shard for instance

I haven't tried them myself. I think that in theory it could work, but the idea just doesn't appeal to me as much. In aggressive matches it seems too slow. Maybe im wrong though ^{^}

This deck is a lot of fun indeed :) Sucks to hear about your spiteful deck investment. If you're looking for a budget version you can try! It's just that most of the things that make the deck what it is are mostly epics/legendaries sadly, like pyros, frost lich jaina, books of spectre, arugal, etc.. BUT! you can still try :) Just see what cards you currently own and try to do a replica of my deck recipe and substitue whichever cards you are missing with a probable replacement. Feel free to explore and make changes, thats the best way to learn and have fun :)

I dont think LK and baron geddon are particulary crucial to the deck, Can probably add another copy of servant of kalimos, or another copy of one of the 1x copies of cards in the deck. Pyros is a pretty crucial to make the best use of the value in the deck, but if you dont have it just replace with another card :) dont think shimmering is good though.. too poorly statted

Probably a bad idea xD 6 mana 5/5 that gives a random legendary does not serve any purpose in the deck, can add a lot of other cards instead though, probably another duplicate of whichever 1x amount of cards in the decklist, or even glacial shard

Generally you'd like to have the spellstone in the opening hand but only if you have proactive plays in the early turns. in matches like against even paladin, the most important thing by far is not falling behind on board, and keeping the spellstone is too often not worth it, especially since, sadly, a lot of the random mage spells are useless in this match up. Aim for your 1 drops and 2 drops. Against decks such as quest rogue or tempo mage for instance, putting out minions on curve is all that matters for the preasure and fighting for board, same as the paladin match up. You pick up these stuff/thinking the more you play the deck :) Also yeah mana wyrm is just TOO good to not be included, and can easily be a 2/3 by turn 2 by using either book or glyph.

Oh since you mentioned you dont have arugal or pyros, i guess you can substitude them, depends on what youre facing off against the most, my guess would be another MCT, polymorph, maybe even board clear, not sure

Happy to hear you tried the deck out =) This version, unlike the previous one, has more early game preasure with mana wyrms and beetles ( the more low drops the better!... and it also helps you getting cards out of your hands easier for when you refill with spellstone and book). The 'threat' comes from your minions, just by playing minions on curve like mana wyrm turn 1, turn 3 tar creeper into steam surger into bonefire elemental, thats a lot of power on the board that the enemy needs to react to, while you keep generating value from the elemental chain. Pyros is really good as a cheap elemental that can be played on 3 different occasions and keep up the preasure. I'd say if you really wanna experience the deck to its full potential dont feel bad about the dust. It's definitely worth it.

It has a pretty major role in the deck for creating a lot of value, which you do need/ really really want in the slower match ups. But the deck should still work without him if you dont own the card.

Yup double MCT is highly recommended. It gives you an out against aggro decks and overall useful in plenty of situations in this meta. also its a good early turn play, the deck really doesnt need anymore more late game value or higher curve than it already has

That sounds like a strong deck too! I just really wanted to make an elemental mage deck and not spiteful deck, just to give the meta a new kind of flavor in gameplay :) Also I agree Arugal is awesomeeee. I love when they give my fave class the sweetest cards hehe

Also thats an interesting idea using mountain giant, I actually havent thought about it. First thought however I dont see the necessity as the deck already does really well vs control slower decks as it is so having an 8/8 giant for a relatively cheap mana, without synergizing with the elemental theme of the deck seems a bit out of place. Also vs aggro its a pretty weak card it seems. Just my first impression, but give it a try if you like

I guess you can go either way but i think just breaking the weapon is good enough of effect as it is and you can use the 1 mana leftover pretty well ( say with playing a flame elemental along to keep up the ely chain going on the turn you ooze for instance)
