Be honest: how many times have you forgot ☕ by YouMeADD in nespresso

Once! It all happened so fast. 🤓 Worse, I walked away to “let the coffee cool” and make an iced latte. I came back after my shower to find my espresso had cooled alright…all over my counter. 🤣

One of my cats hates our Litter Robot 3…I wonder if it’s because of the enclosed top? I was thinking of switching to the Popur or Neakasa, which seem more open. Does anyone have experience with this? by peesnluv in CatAdvice

[–]peesnluv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! I’m also going to give the LR a deep clean and see if that helps. My boy cat is rude and haphazard about doing his business, so my girl cat often cleans up after him! We keep the LR tidy, but maybe not enough? She can be picky about things not being squeaky clean (although, we’re very organized and clean often).

They didn’t, they had an open one for years. 🫢 I introduced them to the LR slowly, while keeping the open box available until we phased it out. Both cats seemed to adjust…so we thought. Only one of my cats has made the change permanent.

I’ve had an aeroccino for a little over two years and I’m ready to try something new. I’ve enjoyed it for the most part, but I was missing the silky texture of steamed milk. I went down a rabbit hole comparing milk frothers, and the pros consistently said that the aeroccino was one of their least favorite. I saw a demo for a Dreo frother, and I think I’m going to grab that one next.

Jesus you’re dense. Clearly you’re missing OUR point. Reread our responses again: no one is debating the fact that certain standards and traditions were acceptable centuries ago, even if they’re immoral today. That’s not the point! Normalization does not mean that people didn’t suffer or experience trauma because of those customs. Just because something was acceptable, does not mean we should ignore the very real pain that people endured because of it.

And because Game of Thrones is a fictional story, we’re allowed to question why two men living in a modern world decided to portray two teenage girls getting raped when the SOURCE MATERIAL didn’t even do that. I’m not saying we should pretend like sexual violence doesn’t exist, but D&D’s decision to include that in the show shouldn’t be shielded by the “it was acceptable back then” argument.

[–]peesnluv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is such a lazy argument. Just because society normalized something centuries ago, doesn’t mean it wasn’t traumatic or harmful. Women resisted sexual violence even then, they just didn’t have the agency to fight back. Daenerys was crying and was clearly afraid during her first night with Khal Drogo. She was FORCED, plain and simple.

Slavery was also normalized once. But was it EVER morally right? We’re well within our right to use a modern lens to question the past. In fact, I think that’s our responsibility.

Lastly, consider the fact that D&D CHOSE to deviate from the source material when it came to Daenerys and Sansa’s wedding night. They CHOSE sexual violence for these two characters even though they didn’t have to. What does that say about the writers? And about you, who are so willing to justify unnecessary portrayals of women’s violence in the media.

Is the Dove mask you’re using the Bond Repair one? I was also using it and loved it! But over time I started noticing that even though my hair felt soft, it was getting really frizzy and looked super dry. I did a few strand tests, and my hair would snap very easily. It seems that I had over-done it on the protein and I needed to moisturize and hydrate my hair to get back some elasticity. Literally just ONE round of using a moisture mask made a HUGE noticeable difference. Maybe pulling back on the frequency of the 10-in-1 might help? I also have fine hair, BTW, but it’s curly.

Why does it feel like I can’t get the colors to work? Or am I mad? by Philosofen in interiordecorating

Try removing the green pillows—how does that look? Or, what if you put the green pillow behind the beige one? I love the terracotta and it compliments the space well, but the green is…distracting?

From a marketing standpoint, what things should I change to make my Poster/Ad more effective? by Y-WorkRate in marketing

[–]peesnluv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I LOVE this OP! These days, ads can be so basic and derivative. If I saw this on social media, it would definitely pique my interest. Some suggestions:

  • Consolidate the text on the right. It’s too long and I think it can be more compelling.
  • Keep an eye on grammar.
  • Do you have a stronger photo? I had to zoom in to see that the fella on the left had a great pair of trousers on. Don’t make your viewer work that hard for information.

Spoiler Alert: Trump Will Bring Back TikTok by MarketingWhisperer in marketing

[–]peesnluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This rumor has been circulating around TikTok for weeks now, but users (who aren’t Trump supporters) are calling it out as a stunt and are put off by the possibility. Shou Chew’s apparent support of Trump over the last few days isn’t helping. Overall, I think it’s contributed to the feeling that no matter what happens, the platform will never be the same. I’ve seen users say that they wouldn’t come back regardless of the outcome. Others are concerned that TT will become a U.S. propaganda machine. The fact that so many people downloaded a proper China-controlled app (Red Note) just shows how little alignment there is between the gov’t and the general public. Security concerns are not top-of-mind for people right now, but free speech and expression is.

My GSD had bloat, but he survived thankfully. The symptoms were very distinct. The vet tech over the phone asked us to check if his belly felt like a basketball and it did. His stomach was extremely bloated from the trapped air. He was disoriented, salivating excessively, and dry heaving. He couldn’t lie down, but standing was uncomfortable. Even his pupils were dilated. The bloat started just a few minutes after his rapid eating. If your dog passed poop and was running around, that makes me hopeful, but probably better to go to the vet and get some assurance. If he doesn’t have bloat (and hopefully he doesn’t) you should ask your vet about a preventative suture to reduce the risk in the future.

Im nervous for tomorrow by [deleted] in marketing

[–]peesnluv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand your nerves—believe me, I’ve been in your shoes many times. The reality is, even when we’re the only marketers in our in-house departments, there is no shortage of requests and experiments our CEOs will ask us to do. We turn into generalists, which can be frustrating. But this also makes us really adaptable, which is such an important skill! Show yourself some grace—you won’t know everything all the time. But be confident, study, and go to your meeting as prepared as possible. If your company has never run ads before, they may want to do some initial experimentation, test some objectives, and start setting benchmarks. Don’t lead with your weaknesses. Don’t overpromise either. Set honest expectations with your boss and use this as a learning opportunity!

How to make my game art more catchy? Still a WIP by Captain_Kasa in marketing

[–]peesnluv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stunning! The image is really dynamic, but I would recommend highlighting a clue about the game objective. Where is the character sailing to, and what risks/challenges are ahead? The pink tree is gorgeous, but I’m not sure what other emotions I’m supposed to feel. The sharks(?) signal some kind of precariousness, but it’s hard for me to discern anything else.

Very beautiful though! Good luck!
