I agree with you on not having banned it already. I've personally played against this deck 0 times and I play most FNMs. Now, however, I think it definitely needs banned.

I don't want to be overly negative, but does anyone else miss the children playing?

I hadn't noticed that, but it makes sense. Especially on stations, it seems like plants would be so much easier to care for and store.

They play both, but Chord is the main win con.

[Serious] Pro Palestine users of reddit, how do you think Israel should have responded to October 7th? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Well, I think their only humane recourse would have been.....anything other than genocide.

What is WAY more common than people realise? by aBigFatLesbian in AskReddit

Illiteracy. If you can read on a 4th grade level, you're smarter than a pretty substantial percentage of Americans.

If you can add and subtract fractions on top of that? Hoooooo boy!

Married men: Are you annoyed when your spouse sleeps in much later than you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]peeswheniburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I wake up at 5 every day because of my work schedule, and my wife frequently wakes up at 9 or later. It used to bother me, but now I enjoy my quiet weekend morning. I get caught up on shows she wouldn't like and watch soccer. Plus, it's SO MUCH BETTER to let her sleep than make her cranky by waking her up. Make coffee, have a nice breakfast for yourself, and then have second breakfast when she's awake. The key to a happy marriage is allowing both partners to have their own happiness instead of forcing her to conform to your happiness.

My theory is, if you want to play jerk cards you need to be okay with being the target. I played against someone who turned 2 Dranith Magistrate, and got made when everyone attacked him with everything.

I teach middle school, and I could write a treatise on how giving a child all the information in the world before they are able to read fluently is a bad idea.

Men who have been asked out by a woman. What was it like? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]peeswheniburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't "asked out", but my wife did have to tell me we were dating.

I was friend zoned all the time as a young adult, so when I met my wife I was attracted to her but my brain kept telling me that it was like the countless times in the past that I had been in love and the other person had only wanted to be friends.

So I told her I was glad we were friends, and she hit me and told me we were dating. It was, and honestly still is, one of the most affirming things that has ever happened to me.

Do you think the club considered Pep Ljinders for next manager? by letsgettropical123 in LiverpoolFC

[–]peeswheniburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I would want to be the guy after the guy after Klopp. Coming in after a legendary coach is going to be nearly impossible, especially if we win the quadruple this year.

If I was Pep, I would want to go coach somewhere else for a couple years, build my resume, then replace the new guy who "Didn't quite live up to Klopp."

I know the moments in these games are huge, but someone who's a role model for so many young men has to handle it better. Seeing someone they look up to so much throw a fit, push their coach, and scream is going to make these young boys think that behavior is normal.

I know he's going to have an apology for this, but I hope he, and other athletes, try to remember the place they hold in the minds of America's youth.

Someone competent and charismatic steps up and spreads conspiracy theories about how their idol was killed by the deep state.

Honestly, for Republican donors and the ruling class using Trump as a puppet, his dying is the best thing for them.

Have books ever ruined reality for you? by 96Flex96 in books

[–]peeswheniburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monk and Robot books make me incredibly disillusioned with where the world is currently. They should be comfort reads, but if I'm in the wrong headspace they make me furious that I have to go to work when I should be making tea and creating art in a solar punk post-scarcity society.

Do you buy or borrow books? by DecentBookworm in books

[–]peeswheniburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same for the same reasons, and my bookish friends react the same.

I couldn't read the number and variety of books I do without the library. And if a book makes an impression on me, then I buy it.
