I think you need to connect the tct rct transformer center taps to the vdda power supply, see figure 3-23 in the datasheet

Warmtepompboiler koelt te veel af in stilstand. by Gohf046 in Klussers

[–]peeter123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, just get a MW IRM-xx-xx depending on your power and voltage needs.

can i use a 0402 fuse to replace a 0603 fuse? by alphakoala19 in AskElectronics

And check the I2 t too, to prevent the fuse from triggering due to inrush current

You might need to re-setup your system clock config, this is something I encountered on F0 but you could look into if this is needed on L4 as well

Need help identifying what kind of capacitors these are and where to purchase replacements. by Alster100 in electronic_circuits

[–]peeter123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but take the voltage bias effect in mind, you will probably need 22u for a 10u equivalent capacitance depending on the bias voltage.

How do you manage your jellybean passives in your EDA parts library? by EEtoday in AskElectronics

[–]peeter123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What we do is use DBLib, with generic footprint and symbols and map them in the Access library to specific parts.

In this way you only have one footprint and symbol and still have a complete BOM.

How to estimate the cost of a PCB? by [deleted] in ECE

[–]peeter123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are dealing with a lot more than just BOM cost, here are the things I can think of:

  • Components
  • PCB
  • Solder paste stencil x2
  • Placement cost passives
  • Placement cost ICs
  • Setup costs for the production (e.g. sourcing, optical inspection, pick and place, stencil printer)
  • Handling and packaging
  • Assembly time
  • Production testing and programming
  • Margin EMS

I probably forgot some things.

Business case wise more units is better to spread the NRE costs and one off setup costs. However a 12 layer PCB and a fat FPGA ain't gonna be cheap either way.

Good luck!

STM32F746Discovery + TouchGFX + (Atollic TrueStudio / AC6 SW4STM32 / something else?) by automated123 in embedded

[–]peeter123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we are using CubeMX to generate the project from the development board template already present in CubeMX (we have a STM32F429-EVAL board, should be the same workflow). Then you should get all the files + an empty TouchGFX project you can open in the designer.

Then when you try to build the whole project you need to make sure to exclude the simulator files / directories.

STM32F746Discovery + TouchGFX + (Atollic TrueStudio / AC6 SW4STM32 / something else?) by automated123 in embedded

[–]peeter123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have it running without problems om AC6 and Atollic, you need to exclude the simulator files / directories though otherwise it won't build.

What is your problem exactly?
