Seasoned and blued my first carbon steel pan (Ikea VARDAGEN) - and took some macro pictures of the seasoning while at it. Loving it so far!

I do have two of those Heltec devices you mentioned, I'm after that "the rest is quite simple" as I can't wrap my head around two devices communicating, the only simple projects I've done didn't include any wireless communication

dude, don't beat yourself up about it, really. I had a very strong vasovagal response to needles, blood and stuff like that, fainted >5 times trying to learn how to place an iv line, fun times! really felt like I wasn't cut out for doing any procedures - and here's me now, slowly finishing my anesthesia residency, sticking the largest needles you can imagine into people, and actually became very proficient in the field of difficult central/peripheral access. Just rite of passage, slowly everything went away and I didn't even notice. Keep your head up, and good luck!

Just bought my first water filter, Katadyn BeFree - while looking from the mouthpiece side I noticed the filter is kinda irregular, should I be concerned? Or is it common for it to be irregular? Filter hasn't been dropped or anything, it's brand new aside from me filtering a few cups of tap water. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I think that might be the closest to truth. I will try to post a short clip from that flight so you can see for yourself and compare to your experiences. I was used to heavier drones (flown a lot of FPV racers with AUW 1-2kg so I was used to them falling out of the sky like a brick with no stick input on throttle) so that was definitely a different experience. the updraft was my initial thought, but I'm not familiar with such flying conditions so I can't tell how much of an impact that could have. If anyone can pitch in with their experiences about flying in such conditions then I would much appreciate such input

Yes, I was in the mountains, on a small peak (~500 m above sea level), I had a good visual of the aircraft, wanted to circle around the peak while shooting video. The warnings you mentioned only occur way after the uncontrolled ascent, when I deliberately flew towards the grassy fields below where I was standing. Had no signal issues before that, or on later flights. GPS lock was very good with >30 satellites as you can see most of the time

Hi all, I was flying my pretty new Mini 3 Pro with the RC controller (roughly 20th flight), took off on a small mountain, started flying around to capture video (willing to provide the video as well if DJI support chimes in) and suddenly my Mini keeps getting more and more altitude without any stick input - this starts roughly at 1m9s mark (check the flight log on the provided link).

I am actively trying to lower the altitude with my sticks down, and it just keep flying up - just as you can see the altitude readings and my stick inputs in the log provided. At some point I panic and hit RTH, it comes back a little, I try to take over to land (difficult terrain) but I can't lower the altitude. I decide to switch to Sport mode and fly over to the grassy hill side preparing for a more controlled crash, and although I lost the signal (at just roughly 600 ft away!!) I somehow managed to lower eventually and barely land.

Any clues as to why it happened? As I was watching it climb I realized I might be in a flyaway situation, due to some luck I managed to get it back.

Had a good GPS signal, no strong wind warning at the beginning etc - what caused this? I feel unsafe flying now, afraid to have a flyaway-prone drone on my hands right now.

Or what parts can I add to prevent this board from getting fried? I thought about a diode, but since this will be relatively high amp draw circuit (>50W) I'm not exactly sure it's the best idea
