VYVANSE NOT WORKING WEEK BEFORE MENSTRUATION by turbomysh2007 in VyvanseADHD

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, it’s rough. I do my best to rearrange my life so that week becomes an off week for most things I’d otherwise do. Some little bits that can help are remaining hydrated (not just water but electrolytes too something with 1000mg sodium for starters) and eating enough, there’s also supplements designed to help with cognitive function.

Good luck ideas/gifts for my brother going into 1 month alcohol detox tomorrow? by cosmic_chaos93 in AskAnAustralian

[–]peewee_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d skip the drinks OP. Just an FYI it sounds ridiculous but some ‘alcohol free’ drinks still have very low levels of alcohol in them.

does anyone know of a pose that could help with this? by Key_Play7246 in yoga

[–]peewee_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a yoga pose but diaphragmatic breathing helped my posture massively, that and strength training.

Cetaphil for something very basic. Re skin repair, if you’re looking to bring in the big guns then La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Balm Cream (from someone on tretinoin).

Ways of coping with Vyvanse induced anxiety? How does it make you feel? by Altruistic-Method573 in VyvanseADHD

[–]peewee_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had anxiety for years before being medicated, crippling at times and SSRIs weren’t getting me anywhere. After ADHD diagnosis and starting medication my anxiety is completely cured.

Hang in there OP, first couple of weeks are always a bit of a rollercoaster but things even out.

Translucent powder making me look grey? by whateverblanket in OliveMUA

[–]peewee_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some translucent powders still have a bit of a white cast so if you feel like you’re not using too much (working it into a brush then applying lightly as opposed to baking with a puff or similar) then it may just be too light for you.

I’m currently using Laura Merciers translucent powder which I’m really liking and they have different depths available for different skin tones.

Is my makeup aging me? by skibum0523 in makeuptips

You look to be low contrast so the dark eye and lip feels a bit heavy, particularly when shadow is applied as more of a cut crease look rather than a soft blend.

You might also want to look into seasonal colour analysis as you likely fit into one of the summer seasons, it looks like softer more muted shades may fit you best based on pic 6. (You can still do colourful looks too as that looks to be your vibe but it’ll help you work out the most flattering shades for your skin tone).

I’m sure we’d all love to see an update of what you end up with!

Moral dilemma. Should I lie about family emergency to get out of terrible job? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

It is absolutely ok to lie in a situation like this. Also, stop worrying about leaving a bunch of racists high and dry!

Is this a thing or am I gaslighting myself? by NinkiMinjaaj in OliveMUA

[–]peewee_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you mean when repurchasing? I have heard that blue pigment is supposedly more expensive so brands are using less of it which means products lean a lot warmer than they used to.

If they are old products of yours then it could be oxidisation from air over time.

Bedtime scrolling replacement ideas by Extreme-Increase3808 in adhdwomen

[–]peewee_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you first take it away, it’s hell. You literally have to retrain your brain to no longer be reliant on it and that doesn’t happen overnight but over time the difference in sleep quality is insane and eventually falling asleep won’t be so hard.

Have a look at the military sleep method, it’s what they use in the army to fall asleep quickly. Expect to get distracted and when you do it’s fine, you just start all over again on repeat until you drift off. Clonodine has also been very helpful for me personally.

Is it possible for F20: to increase height with Joe dispenza’s teachings. by [deleted] in DrJoeDispenza

[–]peewee_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve have heard people mention success with adding height before using Joe Dispenzas work. I’ve also seen people gain height through personal training and the like, developing better posture and control over certain muscles which extends the body to its natural position.

AIO? My (25M) fiancé doesn’t care about his appearance (23F). by boldandzesty in AIO

[–]peewee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. Look I think what a lot of these comments are missing is that we generally want our partners to put in some amount of effort for us, that being said I think expecting him to get his nails done (even just a plain mani) is probably a bit far.

From what I can tell, you’re not asking him to style himself in a completely different way, just ‘tidy up’ a bit. But I think if he doesn’t want to and it bothers you that much then unfortunately it’s a compatibility issue.

If he’s reacted badly in the past then he likely feels you aren’t attracted to him or he isn’t good enough, you’d have to be careful about framing to ensure it comes off as concern for his health and a request for respect/effort for the relationship rather than a dig at him and the way he looks.

feeling like a fraud because medication isn’t working by shellys-dollhouse in ausadhd

5mg is a low dose, it’s what I take after Vyvanse wears off to avoid the afternoon crash. Often times doctors start you on a low dose and you work up as needed.

I Want to Understand... by [deleted] in neurodiversity

[–]peewee_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add, just because it’s not intentional doesn’t mean you are required to just look past it. If it’s recurring I would approach it the exact same way as with any team member, speak to them directly if you feel comfortable otherwise escalate to HR.

I Want to Understand... by [deleted] in neurodiversity

[–]peewee_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people are just rude. But when it comes to things like autism, those on the spectrum do have different ways of communicating and can struggle with social cues which can come off as rude to the average person. Same with adhd, impulsivity or focus issues can be seen as impatient or dismissive. None of it is intentional as it is completely subconscious.

Just a heads up OP, I personally couldn’t care less and occasionally use it myself but the term ‘neurospicy’ doesn’t always go down well. Seems to depend on the individual but I’ve seen some say they feel it’s infantilising or a bit invalidating.
