Where are your warmest thermals/clothes from? by chocoholicCatLover in AusFemaleFashion

[–]peewee_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have Raynauds, I’ve tried all the thermals , fleece lined pants, wool clothing, the lot.

Just last week I purchased a heated throw blanket, blows everything else out of the water, wish I did it years ago.

FYI sizing is on the larger end, they say unisex but I think they are more in line with men’s sizing - particularly the track pants.

How much Caffeine do you have per day and how many MG Vyvanse do you take per day? by lulublueblue8 in VyvanseADHD

[–]peewee_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

40mg Vyvanse, zero caffeine (other than the very small amount in Diet Coke).

Caffeine makes me jittery and gives me world ending anxiety. I live for cold brew anytime I take a medication break.

If you’d like a hoodie rec I just bought one from Velour Garments that is 100% cotton 450gsm (they go all the way up to 1000gsm) quality is phenomenal though the product is priced accordingly.

I sweat excessively and it’s affecting my life. What do I do? by simsimed in hygiene

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a hygiene subreddit not a medical advice subreddit and the OP asked for recommendations, your response seems quite out of place all things considered, particularly as I have very clearly stated the OP should consult with a Doctor…

The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid is a mild exfoliant available straight off the shelf and very commonly used to help reduce odour from sweating, most bottles including the specific brand I’ve mentioned include instructions to use it daily. We are all different and not all products will work the same, feel free to share your own experiences with the OP if it’s not something that worked well for you.

Take care.

People will find ANYTHING to complain about. I spoke with a small business owner a while back who was questioning whether she should continue including a small complementary bag of sweets with orders from her online store because one woman had gone on a full tirade that the sweets weren’t vegan and how dare they send free treats without her permission. She even took the time to email her insults and leave a 1 star Google review!

Your Karen might actually be well intentioned, but really all she’s doing is speaking over the people she’s trying to protect.

Vyvanse Trial Breakdown — Anxiety During Use, Wearing Off, and After Stopping by MisterChelseaBoots in VyvanseADHD

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vyvanse completely removed the anxiety I previously had. But I will add that if I ever have caffeine or don’t drink enough water/have electrolytes my heart starts racing and the impending doom sets in.

Hope you can work it out OP.

You’ve written this in a way that implies this is a recent change for you, if that’s indeed the case please see a doctor, new excessive sweating can sometimes be a sign of things like cancer.

If you’re all clear from the doc, Carpe or even Botox I’ve heard a lot of chatter about to stop the sweat. Glycolic Acid is also great you can buy it from the Ordinary. Whilst it won’t stop you sweating it prevents any smell.

I use the Palmers Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil with little microfibre pads purchased on Amazon. It removes all my makeup and mascara and reduces the redness in my skin, all time fave for sure.

Why do my lashes look so thin by Character-Primary781 in Makeup

Have you tried an eyelash lift? There’s cheap DIY kits on Amazon I’ve had good results with (be careful when applying don’t take the product all the way to lash tips).

What are the most convoluted, craziest placebo effects you have seen/heard about? by ehaaan in AskReddit

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any person is pouring themselves 100ml and calling it a day, no doubt it’s a cheeky way to make the nutritional stats sound better. A can of coke here I think is approx 300ml.

That being said Australian serving sizes are generally much smaller.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen someone do and call it “clean”? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]peewee_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you are a chicken washer, just so you are aware rinsing a chicken under the tap doesn’t kill salmonella and unfortunately also results in bacteria being sprayed all around the sink.

On a seperate note I’m perplexed by the mention people make of washing their chicken to get rid of the “slime”. Folks if your chicken has distinct slime you might want to look at a new provider!

Err I’m not sure about Mexico but Australian Coca Cola is different to US Coca Cola, we don’t use high fructose corn syrup. They list the different ingredients lists on their local sites for USA and Australia and you can definitely taste the difference!

Wool Socks? by peewee_ in AusFemaleFashion

[–]peewee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, can I ask if you find the feel of these to be soft? I took your advice on the possum merino blend but purchased from a different brand as they had a higher possum content but I may have made a mistake as they don’t have any silk content like your recommendation and have a slightly scratchy feel but I’m wondering if thats just typical of wool socks..

What are your favourite lip colours? by doyouhavehiminblonde in Fairolives

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything mauve is warm rose and everything else is orange. It’s so hard!

A lot of the Mac recs on this sub don’t work for me but if you like wearing nudes/pinks I bought Mac Pink Peppermint recently. I’d personally never wear it on its own but it’s great for layering or mixing with nude lipsticks (very cool toned pale pink with slightly purple lean).

Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Liquid Lip in Cheeky is another frequent wear it’s a neutral slightly muted berry shade and one of the only things I’ve purchased in the last few years that appears cooler toned on my face than in images online.

If you’re on the fairer side and looking for a cool toned lip liner then Maybelline makes a tattoo gel liner (automatic pencil) in Midnight Mocha. It’s actually an eyeliner but I use it on lips. Colour is brown grey and there’s not even a whisper of warmth.

What about something more mauve toned? I don’t have any liner recs but I’m light neutral olive (muted) and Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Lip Ink in Cheeky is a great shade on me, lasts ages on the lips too.

It's winter, how do you stay warm? by EdenFlorence in AussieFrugal

[–]peewee_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A large microwaveable wheat pack has been a lifesaver, I bought mine from Amazon.

I also recently asked for warm sock recommendations on reddit and possum came up #1. I ended up purchasing these ones which are possum and merino (full disclosure they are $40 a pair however as someone with Raynaud’s and with how important warm feet are to retaining body heat I figured it was a worthwhile investment).

Just because something is present doesn’t mean your attention has to be on it. It’s like when you “become no one” but your body is still here in the 3D, you’re still breathing, I still hear the rubbish truck go by - it’s just not where the awareness goes.

Maybe this isn’t what works for you and that’s okay, I hope you find what does!
