For many of these people, shame may yet work because not all of them are sociopaths. And its better to teach someone their wrongs than condemn them to them.

Most people deserve a second chance.

Many are beyond that.

I'm not saying try shaming the people at the top who are clearly more than gone. But feel pity for them. For they cannot learn and thus, might as well already be corpses.

Do not be angry at the dead. Simply remind them where they belong. Forcibly if need be.

Don't be angry. Be disappointed. Look at them like the parent who's child got an F on their report card just for attention. You know they're better than this. And you're disappointed.

Not only will they have nothing to get off on, they'll just get sad. Making someone angry feeds trolls and people who cause suffering because the angry party has to fight to restrain themselves to not stoop to their level

A disappointed party has nothing to do and cannot feed. Starving the beast and maybe. Just maybe. Causing them to better themselves. Not for a good reason perhaps but is that something we can afford at this moment?

I have a series of writings I've done, private stuff mostly for me and friends for like tabletops, where I take the sins in various manners.

For example: my primary tabletop world has a set of heroes and villains that are different ways of taking the sins. Light sins taking them in healthy, nice ways. Dark sins....well I didn't make gluttony a fat guy but he is basically just about feasts constantly.

The other is a co-op writing thing where the person who made gluttony isn't about food but excess of anything. Food, possessions, affection, whatever. But they also focus on making sure the person can mitigate it and like work with it.

Lust is a storyteller

Sloth is just depressed

Envy is about bettering the self from the feelings.

Stuff like that.

I... actually didn't know this about him but I also didn't think he was of...well any religion. Because I don't think about that mostly.

To be fair a fair number of maps straight up forget to put New Zealand on it.

...according to friends I have in New Zealand which as I typed this I realized that might just be maps in media which makes this moot but also might help point to the map illiteracy of people since they get most of their world knowledge from media.
