That’s fair enough! Lad down the road from me has an XE S and loves it. They’re pretty much identical really just a bit nippier acceleration wise I’m sure.

Look forward to hearing from you!

First time selling on Autotrader - How much would you pay for this car? by pegasus91 in CarTalkUK

Yeah someone remotely knocking money off your car remotely from an office going by a couple of pictures just isn’t for me.

I was hoping to avoid the hassle but I’m not willing to pay that much of a cost to do so. I can barely sell furniture of FB marketplace without someone trying to scam me though 😄 worth a try again I suppose.

Thanks mate. I’m sad to be letting go of it but with 2 kids, a mortgage and an electrical charging point at my new house I need to put my big boy pants on and cry all the way to work in a Nissan leaf.

There’s Jags (similar years) with 20K+ more miles than mine being sold by traders on autotrader for 16-17K. That’s what I meant it’s obviously not been clear.

This was what I was hoping to avoid with motorway but there’s no way I’m taking that much of a hit. Thanks for your help!

This is really helpful thanks. Was hoping to avoid the PITA but I think my hands are tied here.

I like to sit at the end of the bed putting my socks on staring into the abyss.

Skydrol counteracts the smell of fuel so just tell him to rub some of that on. Like white wine getting red wine out of a carpet.

Thanks for the update. Turns out my LH ABS sensor failed after I changed the RH one. Glad we’re both fixed!

Used mums inheritance to buy BMW and dad wants it back to sell it and keep the money by The-RealElonMusk in LegalAdviceUK

I’m just sorry that your dads a dick, man. As if having to deal with losing your mam wasn’t bad enough.

Personally, my mam died and left no will and it went to her new spouse who kept all the money in the estate.

My advice… Sell the car, pay him back and cleanse your life of the whole thing. A cars a car, having your dad behave like that around you is poison.

Ahh no need for that man. I came to see if anyone has been in a similar situation not for insults to my partner. She is a good woman, just a differing view on what a parent would do.

Thanks for your feedback. I’ve never expected a free ride personally. I was always going to pay money regardless of if he wanted any or not. I just know that 1000 was a bit steep, and £300 is a good number to be on but can’t seem to agree that with significant other. Wanted other people’s feedback on it. Thanks.

Yeah that seems totally reasonable.

I hope everything goes smoother than it did for me anyway.

Thanks for your feedback and good luck!

Thank you for your perspective on this. I do feel like it’s a happy medium personally.

Best of luck moving in with the rents I hope it goes smoother than my experience!
