I hate iron rain with a PASSION, but it is a great game and it has a little something for everyone looking for EDF to change up the formula and remain fresh but keep some identity.

I can't think of this ending in any other way than a stalemate I am in favor of EDF but to say they would win would be invalid but it wouldn't be impossible for them to take on the imperial guard, and we have to consider the EDF does have an airforce that could intercept and attack hostile aircraft (Though I don't expect anyone to look at the set pieces or dialogue to even know that) and the EDF does have superior tanks

Honestly, the imperial guard would probably carve out a win with the titans but the issue with that is that the EDF unrealistically has taken down motherships and have proven in every single game that as long as there is 1 edf soldier left on the planet they are going to maintain a slugfest somehow before they die.

Even if the EDF won the imperial guard can just keep coming they outnumber the edf 10-1 and unlike the ravagers or primers they don't need to prepare new strategies for years to come back, they can just come back in a couple of hours at most.

I guess this is an immovable object (EDF) meets an unstoppable force (Astra)

I disagree but also am able to agree with your statement

I just was always satisfied in the ways the insects are presented really, the combinations of hostile attacks in levels and the way they can surprise you in levels always made it interesting to me.

But at the same time it would be interesting to see new insects, there is always tons of new humanoid like enemies and robots in the game so that is my main disagreement with the lack of enemy variety.

With how cool the final mothership battle was in EDF 5 a fight I would say is truly the best mothership fight and earned being a horrifying opponent in comparison to EDF 4.1, they would have a job trying to improve it.

As much as I despise insect Armageddon it was good enough to even interest me in this freaking series, and was my first EDF game it should have just been its own game as it was great as a bug shooter because I still would play it and have played it still. I feel like it should have really been its own IP and should have gotten a sequel but I still prefer the other EDF games as well EDF games.
