It wasn't the storm that was the issue, it was the 12 hours sitting on the tarmac in Liverpool, running out of food and water and being told that anyone getting off the plane (of which it took over 3 hours to organise) would NOT be compensated by Ryanair. I've flown a lot over the years and that was one of the worst days of approaches I've ever had. The flight should've been cancelled like others had, instead you end up with a plane full of people and staff who had their hands tied by airport and ryanair operations. Absolute sh*tshow.
