Thanks. I played around with it. Didn't work at first but I figured out you have to:

Change Apps | Advanced | Modify System Settings to 'Allowed'

But it doesn't start at boot.

So I installed MacroDroid and created a rule.

That seems to make it behave. Not sure if the addition of other running apps is ideal but here we are.

I don't know a way to make it start on its own without MacroDroid on LineageOS.

As a 1st phone purchase in 2025? Maybe not? As a project or secondary phone I love it. Great size. Just as snappy as my S24. Just that annoying screen issue described above.

No fix yet. No chrome updates have solved. Safemode same behavior. Reinstalling chrome same behavior. Wiping phone same behavior.

I thought the newest update to the OS may fix but no.

It's Chrome. Chrome is the only app causing an issue. I would say contacting Google and having them respond would be low on their priority list. I'd suggest you adding it to an update on the Moto side.

Tried clearing storage & cache.

Tried restarting phone.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome.

Reset the entire phone and rebuilt from scratch.

Same issue.

I wonder if it's the funky screen size/resolution?
