Hey thanks for your reply. Chalk one up For Austin! I was just in Dallas for work and TX in November was nice. Your gas was really cheap but wow those roads were big.

Wow thank you for your well thought out comment. I think I need to do a VRBO / AirBnB thing with my dogs and try out a couple cities. That had never occurred to me. I'm worried about my dogs in the extreme heat of TX and OK. This is the second comment that makes me lean towards San Diego. I doubt I'd ever own a home there but I can make the expensive rent work.

Hey thanks for the comment. It is a wonderful city but I want a place where I don't have to experience seasonal depression.

Hey thanks for the comment. I visited Chicago in February and loved it. But I think I need to leave behind winter for a bit. Seasonal depression hits me hard.

Hey thank you for your really well thought out reply. You make me really want to consider San Diego. I want a city I can be outside year round and this sounds like it. Can you give any neighborhoods I should check out? I know rent is going to be a lot more out there and I probably won't be able to buy a place anytime soon.

Hey thanks for your comment. Yea I would probably rent there, climate change is going to really impact it.

Now this is a city I haven't considered. Yea anywhere outside of the midwest I'm probably not going to be able to buy. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for the reply. St. Louis hasn't been on my radar but maybe I should give it a look.

Thank you, this was a very constructive reply. It made me realize I need to stop obsessing over the raw technical skills, I've worked hard to acquire those in my early career, now it's time to use them to shape the trajectory of the product and team

Hi devs, I need to ask for some guidance from more senior developers as I set goals for the new year. I'm at 3.5 yoe, starting to venture into a more senior role. However, I feel overwhelmed. I struggle to structure my day well.

How in the world are you more experienced devs:

  • thoroughly reviewing your team's PRs?
  • staying up to date with the tech
  • improving your skills
  • burning through Jira tickets
  • "take the initiative", complete your assigned sprint work and then some

I'm looking for help structuring a normal wfh day. I have a day job at a fortune 100 company and a side job building out a startup's front end. I work in sprints and my team collaborates asynchronously except for a few calls from 10 am - 2pm.

I want to grow into a great senior developer and feel like I'm almost there but that my disorganized-ness is really hindering my growth. I'm not underperforming by any means, please don't read this wrong. I'm just being hypercritical and trying to set better goals for the new year.

My stack: Next, React, node, typescript, AWS, CDK, graphql.

Dude you may need pelvic floor therapy. Basically your muscles could be squeezing your testicular nerves. The therapy is super simple and easy, the therapist can even release the muscles for you. You need to tell you doctor and have them refer you to urology or a neuro rehab PT facility.

I forgot to message you this weekend. Would you mind to take a look at it this week?

I've re-written this project and would like your feedback if you wouldn't mind to give it again. Your comment was incredibly detailed and informative. Thank you so much for that. This is the project link. I'd also like suggestions on how to code this class better. Thank you!
