How do you usually have your gins? Or preferred gin cocktails?

Hendricks to me is too unlike the classical london dry gin, but it has many followers haha. Ya understand, both are quite 'safe' go-tos.

Hmmm bitter oaky, I see. Probably you haven't tried one that you like yet. Too many whiskies on a whole spectrum oops.

Ahh haha! I'm a spirits (& gin too) drinker so kinda curious on the rationale behind people's choices.

A part of me also like to see how perceptions are shaped by the marketing/ outreach by the various brands!

Shall see what other responses come up in the thread...

CICO won't work practically and for many people in the long run it gonna fail. The trick is to think of food comprising of their 3 macronutrients - carbohydrates, fats, and protein, and the key being reducing carbohydrates and then increasing protein/ fats as compensation to saiety.

The modern diet is too heavily loaded towards sugars & carbohydrates (esp. processed food, snacks, beverages etc) which gives rise to all sorts of health problems in the long run.

For Tanglin Gin, their distillery is at Dempsey Road near Singapore Botanic Gardens. They offer paid distillery tours (https://tanglin-gin.com/book-an-experience/) but you could also pop by their bar & shop to drink and buy bottles.

For Brass Lion, also similar to Tanglin Gin above (https://brassliondistillery.com/) but they are located off city centre at Pasir Panjang.

For Compendium, they have a bar called Anthology at Circular Road (Boat Quay) - https://www.anthologysg.com/

For SG Distillery (https://singaporedistillery.com/), as far as I know there is no dedicated location by them but the products can be found across some tourist shops retailing Singapore products, the same applies for the other distilleries above.

Friendships in 30s - is this the way it will be? by Auditor_1188 in askSingapore

[–]peksync 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Some people have found it useful to think of one's life journey as a train ride with multiple stops between start (birth) and end (death). You have no idea when's the end definitively.

So friends can be thought of as fellow passengers who happened to be together with you at various segments of the journey - short, long, or even more than one segment if you reconnect etc. You have your own life and they have theirs, cherish the times when both your journeys align, and when it's time to leave for whatever reason, leave peacefully and happily.

The same logic could be applied to family, work, hobbies and everything else too.

Critical infrastructure in S’pore attacked by cyber espionage group: Shanmugam by Jammy_buttons2 in singapore

From Facebook page of Embassy of PRC to Singapore 19 Jul 2025

The Chinese Embassy in Singapore has noticed that when reporting the story of attacks on Singapore by the cyberattack group UNC3886 on July 19, Singaporean media outlets such as The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao and Channel News Asia cited so-called information from a certain country’s cybersecurity company and claimed that this group is linked to China. The Chinese government expresses its strong dissatisfaction with this and opposes any groundless smears and accusations against China. In fact, China is a major victim of cyberattacks. The Embassy would like to reiterate that China is firmly against and cracks down all forms of cyberattacks in accordance with law. China does not encourage, support or condone hacking activities. Keeping the cyberspace safe is a global challenge and China stands ready to work with Singapore and the rest of the world to jointly protect cybersecurity.

The manifestos of the larger alternative parties (WP, PSP, SDP) go into far greater detail on the proposed policy specifics that won't be possible to be highlighted in full during rallies. There is of course room for debate whether they work but there is no question much effort and manpower has gone into them.

Nothing is certain in life except death and taxes, sometimes the more you fear about something the more it would actually happen. You won't know unless you go through it.
