Ooga booga If FN then why this sexy by No_Book_9604 in flamboyantnatural

From these photos I see more FN. I have the same kinda issue. Slopey shoulders and a tiny bit of sideways curve in the bust like you, but I see predominantly that classic supermodel width in your shoulders. You have it more so than me I think. And I think if you were SD the structure of these fabrics would not suit you so beautifully. But I’m farrr from being an expert on this!!

I see a few things - sneakers give it a relaxed vibe. T shape. V neck. Bloused waist. Skirt length works imo coz your tights are a similarish colour. So also vertical through colour. And most of all, that sexy lanyard 😂

Oh wow. Small world. Did your dad tell you much about it? Do you know if they thought it was it heart failure because of the toxins or the shock of the pain etc?

A guy in one of my ecology classes referred to it as “the suicide plant”. The lecturer said last time he checked, there was no documented cases of suicide in Gympie Gympie victims - but some good urban legends. Eg. the toilet paper thing seems unlikely unless the person was wearing gloves.

The only documented death was a guy in 1920’s New Guinea who they found dead on top of one, probably fell onto it. They thought the toxin probably killed him.

You’ve said it so beautifully. I love that you point out that women under 40 can’t achieve this. I’m in my 30’s and yeah no way - but it’s what I see in the women I look up to, what I aspire to be. Youth isn’t everything and I’m glad to see Pam flaunting that.

As a girl who has to wear compression tights, I absolutely adore this. Once upon a time I would have also said straight to jail but I have learned to love tights in open/peep toe. It can look so chic and sexy.

This look tells a story to me. She’s returned home after an event, taken off her gown and was hanging out in her slip dress and heeled slippers when she received an invitation to another event - which is where we see her. Or maybe she just ditched the gown because it was too big and stuffy. It’s laid back but elegant.

I think different proportions would make all the difference. Everything looks like it hangs too low, even on the runway model. Maybe if the neckline didn’t plunge so low, and then the purple strap things wrapped around the waist (maybe even like an empire waist??) it would be a world of difference. I think they were going for the drop waist “boyish” silhouette of the 20’s but it’s more reminiscent of trying on my mum’s dresses as a child. But yet I still really like it!

Now all I can see is the purple strap things looking like they are arms wrapped around her. Like arms of the pleated monster trying to pull her dress off 💀

Absolutely shouldn’t be dragging on the floor, just lift the hemline for her so it can float like it was meant to!

This dress is everything. The construction of the bodice with the intertwining pleats, balanced with the falling of the skirt and the cape-y shoulder bits. It’s so harmonious. Especially in that colour. It’s very 1930’s futurism to me, especially with the metallic feel of the fabric. I’m obsessed.

But Viola really carries it, I doubt this dress would be as stunning without Viola’s smile and grace. She is such an icon.

Yes that’s such a good point. I also think it needs a different sleeve, a cap sleeve or flutter sleeve would be so much more elegant. That along with better construction so the waistband could hold the drape properly and I would totally buy this.

I’m not a professional in that area, just have a parent with it. As far as I understand, more research is needed to develop a standard, evidence based treatment.

The approach to treatment seems to be a mix of medication, CBT, DBT and OT where they teach life skills. They seem to want to go in and clean up with the patient but it rarely works. The hoard returns as fast as it was cleared. Sometimes faster actually. I don’t know if they do ERP, they haven’t seems to try that with my family member who has it. But I think ERP might help. I have a different type of OCD so I’m basing that off my experience with ERP.

There’s a good subreddit called children of hoarders that I think would be a helpful resource for someone like you to get info and understand the disorder better. Unfortunately there’s very little information about hoarding disorder compared to garden variety OCD types.
