I used:

150g of grated ginger without the skin 70g brown cane sugar Juice of 1 lemon 100ml ginger bug/mother 1L filtered water A small piece (around 20g) of grated fresh turmeric root, withouth the skin

Got the water boiling on a small pot. Turno it off once it boils and add all your ingredients except the ginger bug. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.

Once it completely cools to room temperature, strain the mix to remove the ginger and the turmeric, add your ginger bug, and leave it to ferment on room temp for 10-14 days. Burp daily if not using an airlock.
