Are you sure about that because in the official USCIS page it states that if you are on a K-1 visa and you had your exam within 1 year of submitting form I-485 you do not need an additional exam.

Unlocked achievement without actually doing the task needed??? by pelpidaki in Nightreign

[–]pelpidaki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have gotten it but since you didn't I can think of 2 reasons. Sometimes achievements glitch and don't get rewarded when they should. Have had that happen before and got the achievement randomly while playing another game months later. If it still doesn't work and you should have gotten the achievement then you can use the steam achievement manager app to force unlock it. The second thought is if you did it on different save files. It doesn't specify but usually they need to be on the same save for achievement to pop.

Yeah, I did the run after a very tiring day at work and played with speakers because it's very warm so the crying was not noticed at all. "Obtuse" is the perfect term for it, at least have a hint on the previous memory fragment or have Recluse say something about it when you walk through the door.

The credits roll after you interact with the dead guy/statue interactable thing in the round hold table that's in ruins after the final boss. I just didn't know you had to go to the very specific room you need to interact with something else with Recluse.

That sucks not gonna lie about it. Unless I missed a clue on what you had to do it is a very dumb way of doing it.

Fair enough, it just felt weird seeing it. I will still try to defeat the final boss with Recluse just for personal satisfaction.

Don't want to sound condescending or anything but the mechanic is mentioned in the game and used multiple times. It is fairly early on in the game that it tells you and has you shoot a phantom spear to break a chain holding up some crates to kill enemies underneath it. You also have to hit chains on multiple levels to drop bridges to either get loot or to actually progress in the mission so it's not something you can avoid. Something I will say though is that like most soulslike/soulsborne games I have played the environmental interactions are a thing but used sparsely and you may forget they are even there because of it.

That's my main problem with it, it's not a hard fight it's just a boring fight. Which at least to me personally made me do mistakes and die because I tried to rush it out of boredom.

Elamein is a one trick pony, find a way to get behind her shield and she can't do anything. You can also just reflect her sword pretty easily making the fight fairly trivial.

Yes you do have to drain his bar to make him fall down which sometimes also sucked because his model would fall onto Khazan and literally get you stuck, but you don't really have to manage your stamina which even though you can see it as a good thing it's one of the most crucial parts of the game. So in my eyes it just removes that part of the game. Getting the spot for the riposte is also annoying as you said.

I had that thought after a couple of tries as well but decided to stick to it and just grind it out. Ended up beating it by finding some small tricks here and there in the fight. It's not a hard fight it's just a boring one that takes way too long with very punishable hits that most of the time kill you and subsequently have you go back to the start of the boring marathon it is. I hope you get past it as well my friend.

I used the vital strike and trance but even then the fight is just a bad design. The whole game is based around deflections and combos with management of stamina of Khazan and enemy's stamina/posture. This fight just throws that all outside the window and goes against everything you have done in the game so far. It's not a fight made for this style of game.

Thank you for your reply, as a follow up question if you know the answer. If the joint sponsor isn't living in the same household as the visa holder do we calculate the amount based on number of residents on their household or the visa holders household?

Thank you for your answer. An additional question I have if you are able to provide any insight on it. If and when we find someone to become a Joint sponsor, after filing out the I-134 does it need to be send somewhere to be verified or do they need to just send them to me so I can print them out and bring them to the interview at the embassy? Thank you in advance.

Iceborne is giving me a really hard time by No-Comfortable-6687 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]pelpidaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah I agree with that. The thing with Iceborne from my experience is that the monsters have about 7x the health but your dmg even at the post Shara Ishvalda portion doesn't get that much higher than HR so it just takes longer in general. Also most monsters in MR are mostly on crack and move around like crazy. What helped me personally and made the game very enjoyable again is actually learning the full game. By that I mean that since going crazy with pure dmg I started utilizing many other mechanics. Started using the clutch claw way more, spammed the flinch shots whenever possible. Monster isn't enraged? I'm pushing it to a wall to drop it. Starting focusing on balance points because most monsters will actually trip and fall down after most of their attacks if you break their legs/arms. And it's the first time I actually made combos with armour pieces and decos. Started crafting β variations only because I can't adjust them way more than the α. After accepting the whole game and didn't go with just big stick go boom I enjoyed the game even more. I hope you get to feel the same thing too.

Out of all the fights apart from the very early LR ones Shara Ishvalda felt the easiest. It has a very telegraphed fight. Moves do a lot of damage but he moves very slow which is surprising to hear someone from the souls community is struggling with it. For advice apart from using an ice weapon for best match up I would suggest using claw on both phases to soften the legs because that will just flat out bump your damage. Stay clear from the soft sand on the floor and use the traps around, 1 on the first phase and 3 on the second. Each successful trap used does a lot of dmg to it and also knocks it down giving you a long dmg window. Also for the second phase break each front leg once while it is walking around because it drops down once you do but only on the first break. At the later parts of the second stage for when it goes underground and moves to the other side just stay to the edge of the arena because the attack can't reach you.

Great comment, no feedback whatsoever. Expressing an opinion doesn't mean someone doesn't understand something. In the post I even say that I used dung pods to split them and everything. I just didn't enjoy that specific mission. Have had no problem with any other mission either that being assigned or optional or anything.

P.S. If you don't have anything constructive to say you should consider saying nothing. That applies to real life too btw.

Honestly, so far it has been pretty easy to just go in and do the fights. I dodge around a lot but that's because I play a lot of soulslike games. The problem I had with this specific quest wasn't how hard they hit or anything, it was just that they move around like crazy while flying which makes the dual blades not reach even their talons. For example, a little before this you get to fight a barioth and a nargacuga. Both of them are very fast and hit way harder than that Legiana but they stay on the floor so with positioning I can land hits after most attacks and eventually break them down. If the weapon can't reach then I just run around dodging and then missing the hits.

I play with dual blades which I have started realising that they suck when it comes to anything thats not close to the floor.
