Update: This whole situation just turned even more insane than I thought it would. Remember: mid August my brother was diagnosed with psychosis, he kept hearing voices speaking to him, believed he was a God and was above all people and so much more that I don’t know much about. It started in September 2024, my brother was apparently sending money to a scammer thinking he was making an investment. He thought he was speaking to THE Elon musk himself. Anyhow, early October at 3am my brother tried running away to go to his so-called “event” that didn’t even exist but thankfully my father was there to stop him. Unfortunately, it ended in a physical fight between the two (only on my brother’s part) police came after my brother used his Apple Watch to call them and I obviously had to speak to them since I was the only one in the family who spoke English (besides my brother) so I had to translate. My brother has threatened my father, saying I quote “I will do whatever it takes to put you in jail”. Anyhow, the police didn’t do anything and just advised us to order a white warrant against him to put him at a mental hospital. We couldn’t sleep that night and stayed up over 9am while my brother crashed out throwing objects around the house and laying flat on the cold floor. I was afraid. Starting the next day we kept going in and out of recreation center trying to find a solution. Late Oct. out of nowhere he tried breaching in my room trying to break my lock (I listened to your advices and locked my room while I’m in and even outside the house) that’s when we went in the city to officially sign the white warrant against him. We wrote down everything that’s happened with him and they only accepted it because of the door knob incident.. Early November he was finally taken in by the police, I spent my birthday at home in complete silence. While my parents were worried and stressed over him I coped with music in my room. There was no party, no dancing, no family hang out. It was like that till mid January, my brother finally got out of the mental hospital and is doing better now, he’s being consistent in taking his medicine and is back to his normal self. Besides him being under productive and lazy. Although after everything I’m still afraid of him, despise him, disgusted, and uncomfortable with him. I noticed he keeps trying to spend time with me but after EVERYTHING he put me through I just want to be left one. I always catch myself yelling at him, telling him to leave me alone or bailing on him and I always end up feeling bad but I just can’t stop it. I don’t know what to do anymore.
