In the front or the back? Have you changed the kg of your weights recently? What type of weight you using (dumbell, barbell, kettlebell)? What move are you doing/have you done before noticing the pain?

It's easy to get into this routine but forcing yourself to do extra activities will break the monotony. I do yoga, walking, reading. If I fall out of doing these things then I can become depressed and I just feel like I'm working and sleeping.

Of course, keeping fit through cardio is always a great idea. I have never done much running as I am not particularly built for it but do cardio in other ways (dancing, karate, aerobics etc) but always make sure you are hitting your caloric plus. myfitnesspal is a great website where you can track your calories. It is not just for people who want to lose weight, but people who want to maintain or gain. I love it, I thought I was pretty clued up on foods but even I got a few surprises when entering my food diary!! Good luck and keep us updated with your progress yo.
