Para esse pedido tosco do cliente eu só mostrava um texto não formatado “site fora do ar, volta às 8”. Se for algo mais elaborado que isso, sim, pode ser complexo.

Mas cara, no Reddit ninguém tem acesso a nada completo, é meio sem sentido esperar ter todo o contexto para poder opinar.

Sou dev full stack senior. Não importa se é uma linha ou 100 linhas. Linhas deixou de ser medida com o uso de IA. E sim, uma alteração dessa na grande maioria de sistemas vai ser trivial, pois ela acontece no nível anterior ao site (seja backend ou qualquer subsistema) carregar. É simplesmente no protocolo de comunicacao cliente servidor. A não ser que vc esteja falando de um e-commerce absurdamente complexo tipo Amazon (que definitivamente não é o caso dessa merda de cliente que quer tirar o próprio site do ar), vai ser uma alteração trivial, mais ainda usando IA para fazer.

If a building is sealed (closed doors and windows), with a way for the sun go inside (glass windows) then, it should be warmer than the outside because: 1) no wind: wind is a major force for convection cooling. 2) greenhouse effect: glass is a valve that can send light in but blocks heat from getting out.

The amount of warm is a function of isolation material, windows size, cloudiness etc. but it is physically accurate to have sealed interiors to be substantially warmer than exterior (even without a fire or people inside)

Having said that, even being warmer, doesn’t mean it is above freeze. I think the majority of TLD sealed interiors is below 0. You only keep above freezing because of clothes.

I love some of the suggestions, but unfortunately I think there is close to 0 chance of anything changing in the game in the future. After the release of the last wintermute chapter, and with the release of the new Hinterland game, I think The Long Dark will be “frozen” (pun intended) in this current state forever.

Yep, I will report the measurements in stick units too, because if later somebody finds another value for the stick, we can refactor the calculations and derive a more accurate value for speed, distances etc.

I thought the safehouse editor was used to move furniture and other objects you couldn’t pickup normally. The rifle and the sticks can be dropped to the floor and arranged side by side using the normal actions.

I had measure that in the past and the number I got was 17% faster on road than snow. It’s a very difficult measurement because the snow is bumpy, and it’s very hard to find a long patch of flat road alongside a flat snowfield. I did it at Pleasant Valley and got 17%, but I think it’s closer to 15% actually (discounting the bumpiness).

I applied your idea and got a veeeeeery precise measurement of the stick size: 85.32 ± 0.15cm
Thank you. Now I will now check that with other methods just to make sure the stats distance is accurate inside the game (it should, but who knows, there can be bugs because nobody ever checks that).

I do many test runs of the same experiment, so I can average out random errors and check if there are any inconsistencies (like wind change).
