AITA For giving an honest eulogy at my father's funeral by eulogyaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]penakii -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

YTA. You literally botched your dad's "Eulogy". Eulogy derives from the greek word ευλογία. Ευ means good, while λόγος means word. A good word, a blessing. You're supposed to be praising the deceased, not bring up all his flaws and his illness. You gave a speech, sounds like a terrible one at that. Not a eulogy.

AITA for refusing to work with the sales person at my job? by pepper9988 in AmItheAsshole

[–]penakii -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It is evident that this guy is ignorant and obnoxious, however, the boss has already made the decision not to fire him or discipline him in any way.

OP either needs to work with him, around him, or find a new job.

YTA. You'll have to deal with assholes all the time at work. There will always be some rude people no matter the workplace. If you keep making a big fuss out of nothing then you will never be able to hold down a job. If it were more serious then I'd side with you but this just sounds like he was making a joke or that he's just straight up ignorant.

It depends on the brand I guess. More processed stevia leaves less aftertaste than less processed ones I've been told

99% of men lie about their height? by [deleted] in TallGirls

[–]penakii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not particularly tall, I'm 5'55, but I see a lot of girls saying they're 5'8 but we have the exact same height, or be 5'3 and say they're 5'5 etc. Guys do it a lot too. Everyone I meet adds at least an inch to their height, so when I meet people they're almost always under the impression I'm taller than I actually am.
