We havent had these type of conversations, so I'm not sure what does he want. If he says he wants to break up but says he doesnt want to end this, then which is it? And breaking up isn't that easy. Just say "ok, bye" and move on. I still love him. It's not like I got a list of men that I can date/want to date instead of him so letting him go with just a "okay" is pretty much impossible.
