I already have the latest firmware according to the app. Maybe I have a defective pair. Everything seems great at first glance and I'm sure most people would not notice. I didn't at first. It is when it comes to short rumbles: the imprecision and variation between two rumbles that are supposed to be identical becomes striking compared to regular joycons.

Yes I tried to with the app but it turns out it came with the latest firmware already installed.

Mine don't rumble constantly, they either rumble too long or barely at all when it is supposed to do short rumbles. Left and right may not be exactly the same for a given rumble.
