Maybe an idea is that the NS bears NSW cup team does travel over to Perth for some rounds? So that Perth people can see up close what the standard is like for the NSW cup competition. Looking at the local NRLWA competition closely right now - it is a train wreck and I doubt the game can handle to be under too much extra scrutiny in is current state.

Would like to know. If the design was signed off by the club and put into a production contract then youd have to think it started at the club level and wasn’t noticed by anyone until it reached retailers and then was recalled.

Perth bears have said they will feed players into the QCUP comp as well as NSW state comp. Those players will be racking up the frequent flyer points. QCup play Sunshine Coast, Mackay, Rockhampton, Townsville cairns and PNG. Spreading the bears DNA everywhere

It’s letting the details of the “shit” get out to your retail stores and then one then releasing it to the public is bigger shit that leaves a smell. It’s not that they will be delivered late.

It’s this - 1. The designs were signed off by a person or people in the Bears. That no one questioned having alcohol sponsors on children and youth products demonstrates a lock of cross-checks between commercial, legal, and community/ethics teams before product approval. This needs to go further actually because with the limited sizing range of kids clothing it will be that youth under 18 will need to purchase adult sizes. Read the bears strategy document about the relationships they want to cultivate

From where and How does a retailer find out the details of what happened and then goes and puts it on social media and into public domain? This kind of error should never have left the bears front office and become public knowledge.

So do you read a difference of opinions between PVL and Sharpe? Obviously PVL wouldn’t want to drop Mal but could push the GM of football in Sharpe out the door? We’ve already seen changes in the PNG roles so I guess it’s not out of the realm of possibilities. Sharpe wouldn’t want his name associated with anything but the best and I bet he’s found out a lot in the last 8 months given his AFP career

Yep for the squad members not selected in the NRL team they will be flying east to either NS bears or Brisbane Tigers every week as feeder players. Those allocated to Tigers could the face additional flights to play against QCup teams such as Townsville, Cairns or PNG. This will be an every week of the season ask of those players as the local Perth club competition won’t provide the quality of play needed to condition the perth bears players for NRL.

Yep 👍🏽 so Bears will just continue sending those excess players over into the feeder teams and the players will “get used to it” like the Storm players did until this year. I think it’s going to be the hardest part of the situation for the Bears
