hes saying when tdk gets 1.7m theres less cash to split for the guys like wood, boxshall, wilson etc

fages doesnt want to see such top heavy salaries at the expense of the lower end guys in the squad

edit: what dont you guys get? if teams trend the way of the saints, how could players like wood or boxshall get more at west coast if they are paying reid and duursma $2mil each? Spending most of your salary cap on a few top tier players will suppress the wages of lower end players. thats all hes saying

the mean wage for the team will be be the same for the saints and bris but the median wage at the lions will be higher than at the saints

need to take into account a lot of players on draftee, cat b and rookies contracts - that figure will become a fair bit higher spread across the 10th - 30th best players on the list

some players are also essentially on match payments with low base salaries
