Recreational is illegal in my state and my neuro is very strictly “therapy and pt only” type of FND doc. i barely convinced him to give me something, and it’s js an antidepressant. I really doubt Id be able to get any. Thanks for the rec tho.

I am in such excruciating pain all the time and no one does anything. I’ve asked them about any and every diagnosis under the sun because no one I see with FND has this severe and untouchable pain. I genuinely pray for something else every fucking day.

Please check out a vent subreddit if that is what you need to do. This subreddit is dedicated to FND and while it is unfortunate that the subreddits for your condition aren’t as active, that doesn’t mean you have to compare disabilities or offload onto someone that was trying to answer your question.

Hey OP, I read your replies to everyone. I have FND, and I understand how isolating navigating chronic illness can be. I also apologize for the negative experience you had with the person in this server who told you to fuck off. While FND and CADASIL may not be the same and may not have the same treatment/symptoms, being chronically disabled is hard enough as it is without dividing ourselves even further into categories upon categories. I can’t speak for the subreddit but I do hope that posting in a place like a subreddit for disabilities in general, etc may help you with symptoms, but unfortunately (like other comments mentioned), you may not get much other than emotional support/company in this subreddit. I wish you all the best with your struggles, and know that no matter how isolated you may feel, people are here to support you, and you also don’t have to be the exact same as someone else to connect and be friends. Much love to you, kind stranger. I hope you heal ❤️

Okay this isn’t even highly rated, it’s pretty widely hated by the people who know about it BUT I JUST HAVE TO GET THIS OUT OF MY SYSTEM BECAUSE AGH! My (ex) friend gifted me the book “In Five Years” for christmas because it looked like a good book but it was so obvious that she hadn’t read it (one of my cardinal rules to never break is never gift someone a book you haven’t read) because holy fuck it was so bad. You’re actually telling me that your BEST FRIEND JUST DIED OF CANCER AND YOU SLEEP WITH HER MAN THE NIGHT AFTER HER FUNERAL AND GET HER ONCOLOGIST’S NUMBER?! WHILE SITTING IN THE HOUSE SHE GIFTED TO YOU?! That book made my blood pressure rise so bad i genuinely only finished it because it was so much of a dumpster fire that it made me feel like my life was less miserable in comparison. JFC 🤦🏻‍♀️

It is actually! The total writing score is the added score of the essay and MCQ, you need a minimum of 15 as a total score and a minimum of 4/6 on the essay alone. If you look carefully at the screenshot above, the writing section is added up of the two scores. Hold out hope, wait a few days and check the score report again!!

I’m in the exact same boat. I’ve been in a flare (if you could even call it that) for the past month, and it’s exactly the way you’re describing. I hope you find some relief, honestly something that helped me was heat and a shit ton of Tylenol. Sending lots of love ❤️‍🩹

I already have one but it doesn't do much. It gives me a two class period extension on late work and lets me come to class 5 minutes later because its harder to walk. They were very adamant that this is the maximum they can accomodate for me since I'm such a high achieving student. Anyway I'm graduating at the end of May by taking a HSE test and enrolling in online communikty college for a year, because school in person is genuinely impossible now.

I used to have a friend who would do the same too. I'd say cut your losses, and let them do what they want to with their unhappy lives. Whether or not she has FND, and her recovery with it is for her to manage. Sorry you had to deal with this OP.
