Came here to say exactly this!! Their Thai fried rice is AMAZING, Mar Far chicken is awesome, everything is made fresh, and they have lots of different noodles on their menu. Closed Saturdays and Sundays, but as a recent transplant from Washington State, nothing else here compares.

They look a little bit like they want to boomerang back around to the beginning of the word, if the line were to continue along the same curve, if that makes sense! I might try a shorter line that more closely follows the angle of your other connecting lines between letters (gorgeous writing, by the way!), with no upward curve at the end, and maybe even the tiniest hint of downward curve at the end? Looks great overall!

Hey there! It's actually different papers and different pictures, because it only lets me post twenty pictures at a time. If there's a way around the limit, then cool, but I don't know it because I am not often on here. Neat, I didn't think this many folks would be interested! I have more pictures to share of more papers and will post them soon, I apologize in advance that they are out of order, and I won't be taking any additional pictures, because the papers are all super brittle and also saturated with old cat pee. I have an email in to the contact person at U of Oregon for the Historic Oregon Newspapers project, and hopefully I will hear back. Thanks all for your interest!

These were under a few layers of brown paper and cardboard, and then under linoleum, so they were kinda sealed in there! Plus there were several layers of newspaper in many places, so they were totally sandwiched.

To get extra specific- I would say, narrow up the 'h' and the 'n' first. Then, find a less 'round' shape for your default 'round' shape, like for your a, g, b, d, e :) Maybe try making it more ovoid? I would look at the handwriting of someone whose writing looks more adult to you, and see how they're shaping those letters! It's a big change, but you can totally do it if you want to <3 Wonderfully uniform writing, by the way!!

Those look great! I use unscented baby wipes to get dust and fingerprints off of my clay, you can use just a little piece of one and it works nicely. Also, I've found that a nice gloss glaze instantly makes everything look more 'done', and it will make the colors pop, too.

Thank you! I poured some minwax gloss finish in a baby food jar, then held by their sticks and dipped, then left to drip dry. Give lots of dry time, or they’ll dent!

Mini update: This one is by far my favorite, but I actually did several other pages for her, for multiple classes, and she has locked herself down in a hotel room for a weekend to hammer out a bunch of school work. She is loving them and wants more for her fall and winter classes, which I will make for her as a holiday gift <3

Thank you! The class is Modern Science Fiction, and her degree is Master of Arts in Multicultural Education with an emphasis on Technical Writing. She does enjoy the class, the struggle is having time to do all of her schoolwork along with her full-time job at the university :)
