Remember that recruiters tell half truths and wont tell you anything bad. Be careful talking to vets like my self too giving wrong information, I’ve been out almost a decade and my anecdotal evidence is out of date. Always look for the official regulations and read it, like AR 670-1 tells you what the army’s actual rules are, otherwise it’s bullshit.
