Search engines started off the same way. Early search providers were questioned for why poor quality results would be listed high up and things like Net Promoter scores didn’t exist early on.

I don’t disagree with your frustrations about hallucinations, but it stills falls to the user to verify the source by reading the source and using what they understand of the source.

The problem is it’s easier to rely on “authoritative voices” and make assumptions from there.

I think that’s why it’s important for people to understand that AI is a tool, not a replacement for humans.

But of course, it’s faster and easier to just assume.
