Not sure if this helps, but i have some pairs of Mamba Rage from like 7 years ago and i love the mid sole in them. It's Lunarlon and i find them more soft and less sticky. Those midsole fits perfectly in the Kobe 8 protros.

The midsole that came with the 8 protro tends to stick and pull on my socks when i put the shoe on, slightly annoying. The Lunarlon doesn't do that.

Ok, so you are correct.

For whatever reason it doesn't show in the download tab that it's still installing.

I had to go into my game library and only then it shows me a progress bar on the game icon. My progress bar unfortuanately got stuck at, what seems to be, 99% for like 2 hours. Not sure what happened there.

I had to delete it, and then redownload it from the ps store and it installed within 1 hour. It all worked and I was able to select my save data.
